one thing about Tsuki Ni Shizumu i don't understand...

besides the point that the movie was completely meaningless.... o.o
that guy does save her from the ones who want to sacrifice her. he sits her on the horse and she rides away on it. yet you see her sinking into the moon. why?? she was rescued!! who did this??:thud

and what did they want to sacrifice her for anyways? the woman said, everyone will be better then?

and i guess the red tears and the red moon doesn't have too much significance...just...drama.

uuuuh....answers please?:innocent

^hmm I think it was when they were trying to espace from the ritual and from the "mental hospital" and so they met at the same place when some time portal to another dimension opened or something like that XDXD. But mostly I think that part is up to the viewer to use his/her fantasy ^^

The evil lady & her cult killed Sonshin (our hero) and recovered Kagari (ayu), so they were still able to sacrifice her. That's even in the Voyage PV... sure there are holes in the plot that you could drive through but that wasn't one of them.

I'm still not clear on what was special about Kagari that meant they had to sacrifice her, but probably if i knew more japanese mythology i could make an educated guess.

And the moon being red is just symbolic for the death it holds inside it (or in its reflection anyway). Red tears, red moon, blood, death.

@_@; Evilness! *Hides.*

I think...there was something about her, her sign or so forth said that she needed to be the sacrifice to the moon. Oh, and at the end, it's a reincarnation or so of her.

what??? but Sonshin killed them all...you see the sword in the chest of that woman. where did you come to that conclusion?

Delirium-Zer0 12th December 2005 04:11 PM

ooohh... wow. *watched it again* Okay, they DO kill Sonshin. I mean arrows stick into him left & right. He does kill all of those guys with all the arrows sticking into him, but from their conversation it seems Kagari has a desire to kill herself. Cuz it seems pretty certain that he's gonna die, and he won't find her again like he promises he will. That COULD be what happened. She sacrificed herself for whatever their religion was, because she figures she has nothing left to live for anyway. He lives just long enough to see her sinking, it seems. Man that's depressing.

It's been a long time since I watched the movie, but I thought Sonshin survived? If I remember correctly, in one scene he was standing near a lake and saw the moon reflected in the water, and then the moon slowly turned red, and he realized Kagari was dead.

Maybe she was sacrificed because an oracle predicted a disease/war/disaster would stop if Kagari was sacrificed. It happens a lot in Greek mythology.. One men actually sacrificed his own daughter in order to win a war - the gods never explain why this particular has to die.
I don't know if such things happen in Japanese mythology, so maybe I'm completely wrong :P

I dunno, it kinda seemed like he at least SHOULD die after watching that (of grief, maybe, even if those wounds didn't kill him, which they should have)... it's just an awfully poignant scene if he does. I don't remember if they show him, like, collapsing or anything or not and i don't feel like digging up the video again :P

Oh who cares. Let's face it, looking at it objectively, this movie stinks.

Sweer 12th December 2005 06:25 PM

*totally confused*
I never heard of that movie... does Ayu take a role in it?

Delirium-Zer0 13th December 2005 02:17 AM

It was a 40-minute film centering around the song "Voyage"...You've basically seen it if you watch the Voyage PV and then go to the screencaps for the whole movie at eneabba.net, cuz there you can read the dialogue translations too, so you can tell basically what's happening. There's not much to it. I REALLY don't like this movie, i'll be honest. I don't watch it unless i have to. :P

erm.. can anyone jus once and for all tell the story of the movie? cos i watched it even with subtitles.. and still dont get it.. i am sure we all will appreciate it thanks.. :D

Actually, the reason for the sacrifice was the full moon was coming. If there wasn't a sacrifice, then there would be a lot of trouble. (It's some legend, wasn't explained in the movie.)
