A question about the CAROLS pv
 

I was watching the making today and they show some footage of her swinging in a tree. Why didnt they put that in the video. It was really pretty and I think it wouldve gone well with the vid. I just was wondering if anyone knew why they didnt add it or if it was never meant to be put in the vid.

Actually, from what people said, I guess Ayu's hair kept messing up and just not looking good in general ((pfft!)) so they decided not to keep it in the video.

Would have been nice, though, since it would have matched the cover concept.

plus it really didn't fit anywhere...lol

I've said to myself many times that "they'll make an acoustic version...with her just swinging" but yeah, I believe too much

it looks nice..but if u look more, u will see the shadow of camera and her hair is messed up..so..i think thats why..its didn't include in her carols PV (my favourit ballad all the time from ayu)

a full PV with that camerea just circling around her all the time...???
guess I would get sea sick just from watching it :P
though I like that scene

Sorta Deartest (Accoustic) version-ish? That would have been cool. Though mixing that with a Foo Fighters "The Best" music video concept would have been better XD just not as flashy @_@

If you look at the making of video of that, the day was very windy. I don't care how much hair gunk you put in, your hair is not going to look okay in that kind of wind. It was actually kind of sad cause you could just look at Ayumi and go "Man she must be freezing her butt off and they want her to swing?"

but her hair was blowing in the wind...i liked it. but i also heard it was because it was so windy and what not. oh well...i think i like it better without that scene.

Yeah it was because there was a typhoon, I believe.

well shoudln't they have KNOWN it'd be really windy then? haha! seems like someone wasn't paying attention, lol. :)

AND they made her do all that and didnt put it in the vid...they are evil lol

they shouldve filmed it on a day where it wasnt so windy..and the camera thing is no problem..u can see the camera in the dearest acoustic vid..just barely but its there XDD

I got motion sick watching it, too. That could've been one of the factors in excluding the scene from the PV. Aside from that, it's possible that they had to cut it for time considerations as well. With Ayumi already having the stage scene and the carousel scene, the swing scene may have been one too many scene changes for the director's taste in the final edit.

they really should've made 2 versions..

(Carols was very high at the top when i first heard it. It was my favroite song for months)

like a filmaker i can tell you the CAROLS video work better like a dark and a nocturnal video...that luminous scene reduces the intimist concept to the video.

I thought it was merely due to the typhoon messing up everything... like, made everything messy... also I asw the camera's shadow :P I would've loved a scene with the single's cover on it though, that swing thing was pretty!

yeah, true. I guess a slow ballad like carols, doesnt work well with some action paced PV *exaggerating*. And actually I love it the way it is... :yes

That was my favorite part of the entire video, and it wasn't there! *sulks* It went with the concept I think.

Also completely off-topic if you notice in the CM, she's on the carousel during the chorus, but in the actual video, it's Ayu singing by herself accompanied by a piano. I thought that was weird too.

And the Panasonic ver of the STEP you song made it sound cool and rockish, but when the actual song came out it was quite fast-paced.
