　本賞は、CDセールスのみならず、ライフスタイルやファッションなど多岐にわたり、今年1年で社会に最も影響を与えたと思われるアーティストをオリコンユーザーにアンケート調査し、ランキングにしたもの。その栄えある第1回のNo.1の座に輝いたのは、今年大きな飛躍をみせた歌姫、倖田來未。同会見の表彰式に登場した彼女は、今年1年の活動を振り返り、来年についても語った。

　2005年は初めてのことばかりだったという彼女。ファンクラブ設立、コンサートツアーの実施、ベスト盤リリース、チャート1位獲得、ミリオンセールス達成など、これらすべて今年1年での出来事だ。今回の『BE ST ARTIST 2005』受賞に関しては、「サプライズのあるエンターテインメントを常に発信しようとしていたことが、こうした結果につながったと思います」と、スタッフと力をあわせて努力した結果としながらその喜びを語った。

　そして、これから年末にかけての活動に関しては、注目が集まるNHK紅白歌合戦について「幅広い年齢層に見られている番組ですから、お母さん世代の女性にカッコいいと思われるパフォーマンスをしたいですね」とし、気になる衣装は「NHKの方からは倖田さんらしい格好で来て下さいといわれているので、いつもの自分らしくします」。衣装のテーマはチラリズムとし、「くるっとまわってふわふわしそうな素材を使います！」と注目されている衣装の一部を明らかにした。

　一方、来年の展開については、「12週連続リリースのほかにもまだまだやりたいプロジェクトがたくさんあり、それをひとつずつ見える形に残したい」とし、さらに「今年1年、ファンのみんなにいろいろ助けてもらい、愛をもらった恩返しに、今度は倖田來未のビューティープロデュースのような形で、みんながきれいになるのを手助けして恩返ししたい」と語る。
　“エロかっこいい”として多くの女性からの支持を集めた彼女だが、来年は、それをプロデュースしていくという新たな顔をみせていく。もちろん、音楽的な追求も来年の彼女のテーマに入っている。
　BEST ARTISTに輝いた彼女の来年の新たな展開には、早くも熱い期待が集まっている。
