The last one isn't (it's an orgel album, they usually take famous pieces of music and remix then into relaxation music) but the first two albums are illegal re-releases of Ayu's older music. Technically they aren't bootlegs however.

Yes, and Yesasia used to sell the first one.

As for the Crystal Melody, it's not released nor licensed by Avex but contains no vocals, so not sure if you can consider it a bootleg.

Thank you. :)

from what i know, all of these were once legal at one point in time. the first set is from taiwan when taiwanese companies were allowed to release japanese music w/o a license. it's a illegal now. the second one is a re-release made by a japanese company (starts w/ an L, i forgot) and i think avex eventually put a stop to the pressings of these. the last one is legit, but there are many fake copies of it floating around at online anime stores.

about the first one, there are actually stores that sold it separate in 4 discs. there's one store right in singapore. it used to be in Takashimaya buliding, basement 2. i think the name is "Supreme' or somthing. it had now move to Robinson. all fellow singaporeans, please be careful when you buy their stuff.

Exactly.... which is why I said they weren't technically bootlegs...

Although there are bootlegs of these now-illegal CDs. (or is the one posted one of them? )

well, the first one exists in many different bootleg sets. the second one...i think not (unless you count the red/black normal sized disc that takes pictures from the original 3'' single). btw, i remember that the company for the second cd is Leond (pretty sure, correct me if i'm wrong). and the third one exists in many bootlegs.

Creamy Ayumi 20th January 2006 10:52 AM

all are bootlegs for me.

Delirium-Zer0 21st January 2006 12:07 AM

Well they ARE all unlicensed, so ayu's not gonna get any money from them if you get them regardless. But I can assure you that if it's quality you're worried about, then the first one's actually pretty good. The printing is high-quality (even if the covers of the four discs inside the box are all recycled Tu-Ka images, they're REALLY high-res with a nice glossy finish) and the design is at least readable if not a bit simplistic & amateurish (no bad typos or terrible chinese translations), and the sound quality is indistinguishable from the original (I have the other side TWO and listned to compare... on my sound system, it was exactly the same). I can really only speak for that one though since I don't have the others.

My opinion on all the orgel albums though, is that they're worth a download and a few listens, but not more than $3 of my money.

~K+ 21st January 2006 02:56 AM

If you want instrumentals of Ayu's song melodies, I'd recommend going for the 'J-pop meets Classic HARMONY' CD instead of the orgel album. Considering that the HARMONY albums are orchestrated by a real orchestra.

MY STORY Classical is orchestrated by a real orchestra...
