Born to be... question

is it a second A-side to Startin', or a b-side?

Ryoko 9th February 2006 11:55 PM

The single is double a-sided single. So both songs are the title songs.

elepop 10th February 2006 02:30 AM

^^ Yup. Noticed how "Born to be..." also has a PV?

Seriously, Ayu should really stop with the double a-sided single. It's getting tiring.

Delirium-Zer0 10th February 2006 02:36 AM

Okay, my next thread is gonna be the answer to this question and any other time anyone asks this. *sigh* I was really hoping I wouldn't have to do this, but okay.

Xianghua 10th February 2006 02:38 AM

I've been wondering this for a while but.. what exactly is an a-side and a b-side? like I know with records but what do they mean by it with a CD? Sorry if that's a stupid question, I just never could understand what an a-side/b-side is on a CD! ^^;;;

JesA 10th February 2006 03:00 AM

an a-side is the main song and a b-side is the coupleing trrack. for example,
vogue single
a-side: vogue
b-side: ever free

Delirium-Zer0 10th February 2006 03:12 AM

I just made a thread about it in the ayu chat room. The short & sweet of it is that the terms "a-side" and "b-side" haven't meant anything since the days of 7" single records, and they've NEVER really meant anything with ayu.

Xianghua 10th February 2006 03:45 AM

Oh, I get it.

Thanks ^^

True, but at least we get more big budgetted PVs..

On the other hand, her albums have been single collections.. (M)U had 6 A-sides, 2 B-sides, 2 Airplay tracks(Rainy Day, Ladies Night). Altogether 10 out of 14 tracks were receiving airplay and airtime on MTV. 2 more are interludes, and we then only have 4 original tracks left.

She has got to promote. Sales slipped and I guess this was the plan. Ladies Night never aired on MTV though? It was strickly for the album?

Jennie Mae 19th February 2006 07:48 PM

I like the double A-sides. Both songs usually end up being really great, and then there are more PVs for us to watch!
