ayumi hamasaki's new songs...

Is it me? or does the new songs sound like she's ripping them off of...well, her own songs?

Because to me, the chorus of fairyland sounds exaclty like the chorus to Angel's Song, and Bold and Delicious sounds like AUDIENCE a little bit (the yaya gaga part)

so...anyone agree or disagree? I think she's running out of ideas...

Chibi_Venus 5th April 2006 09:04 PM

I will agree with the fact that she doesn't seem as awesome as she was maybe a few years ago, but I'm still holding on.

As I had said before, I miss CREA's compositions. Or even CREA + DAI! The last one like that was Will and that seemed like a long time ago.

That's what I thought when I first heard fairyland!!

i hear similarities in the first line of the choruses of fairyland and angel's song but i don't see anything similar in B&D and AUDIENCE... what parts are u talkin about?

I knew that Fairyland's chorus sounded similar to some other song!
:shakehead But i have to disagree on B&D and Audience.
Ayu has like way over a 100 songs. Some of them are bound to sound similar to something else, however annoying that might seem.

I think that's just you. LOL.

ExodusUK 6th April 2006 12:35 AM

I'm probably going to get flamed to death but yeah I've noticed that sometimes. Is it just me but are M and Free & Easy pretty much the same song? o_0

Raiu-Ayu 6th April 2006 12:49 AM

I never noticed this before. Maybe she's just linking her songs in some way, like the way Britney Spears has that annoying drum-ish should in all her songs.

benslave4u 6th April 2006 12:58 AM

well I have to say ayu does keep her "safty" songs!! But then for the last few singles she has been trying some new and dangerous ones like Bold&Delicious!! so I think I have to say yeah she is not as awesome because she is trying to find her new style but I think the reason people think the songs sound similar I think it's because it's her safty songs!!

truehappiness 6th April 2006 12:59 AM

:\

It depends on the person. xD

imho; the whole 'nee kimi wa~' is not at all like 'ano umi e~~' :o

Most of her songs are radically different for me. I guess I confused HOPE OR PAIN and Liar a lot.. but that's like.. a trilogy of songs that sort of go together.. ~_~

/falls over

I don't seem the resemblance.

Just a note guys, you can't blame it on Ayu for any songs sounding similar. It's the composer.

ImpactBreaker 6th April 2006 01:01 AM

As much as End roll is simillar to Bold & Delicious in my opinion.

LOL not really. It's because I can't see much simillarities in fairyland/ANGEL's SONGand AUDIENCE/B&D either.

bluegie 6th April 2006 01:33 AM

For fairyland and ANGEL's song... you can say the melody is sorta similar... But for AUDIENCE vs. B&D vs. End roll, I just dun see any connection between those three..

I think most people have talked the similarity between M and Free & Easy when the latter song came out. The melody is similar, and even the arrangement is similar (in terms of verse, verse, chorus, chorus blah blah). So you won't be flamed to death... LOL.

ImpactBreaker 6th April 2006 01:45 AM

Free&Easy sounds nothing like M

you got most of my point then ;)

Ayumi no Yume 6th April 2006 01:45 AM

I see no resemblance whatsoever.
Even if she were ripping off her old songs, come'on, she's released... what, 100+ songs already?

It was sarcasm. LOL!

Plus, "B&D" and "AUDIENCE" are also two totally different type of songs.

Hazuki 6th April 2006 02:54 AM

Maybe some songs could ressemble each other.. But dosen't Ayumi have like.. A LOT songs?!
