Is STEP you *slower* in the Panasonic CMs?

Just watch the Panasonic CMs and listen to step you. It sounds like it's slowed down by half! I wonder if they changed it after it was released to being faster...

apparently yeah~

some songs which were featured in cm have slightly different arrangement, probably due to earlier works which is stil in progress...

for example, Moments in kose cm, angel song in panasonic d-snap cm, still alone (forgot which cm), naturally, all have slightly different from the original released track.. and its worth to keep those cms too~

Qt Mashi 18th April 2006 05:22 PM

wow i didnt notice!

it sounds sooo good in the CM though!!

Norrel 18th April 2006 08:04 PM

Yeah, I noticed this too!

The Moments song in VISE sounds diffrent too.

Coelacanth 18th April 2006 08:15 PM

I love the CM version, it sounds less chaotic.

About you is also a good example.. They added a whole new line in the album-version. That was probably because they created the song in like august but they released it in december.

I think her voice was a little more synthesized in the VISEE CM..but I liked that version more.

And yes, STEP you is slightly slowly in the CMs, too...they probably put clips from the songs when the songs aren't exactly finished products yet. ^^

i think its backwards, they modify them XD

but maybe~

i also feel "alterna" on the panasonic LUMIX cm was slightly slower.

carols (classical version) from the panasonic cm is different also

AyuGAME 19th April 2006 02:32 AM

i love this version sounds like a slow rock for me

tl1029530921 19th April 2006 03:47 AM

i always like the CM versions more for some reason..like Moments..:(

etheruraura 19th April 2006 04:12 AM

I LOVED LOVED LOVED the original "About you" in the CM..It was 1000x better than the album version. They just had to add those generic guitars for the album version, and do something with her voice..in the CM, her voice sounds more clear and sharp, while in the album version it sounds like its almost all slurred together, in a way.

Delirium-Zer0 19th April 2006 04:39 AM

the big one for me is "still alone"... it ROCKED in the takanoyuri CM but it was kinda icky annoying yuck on the album.

I had the same problem with "my name's WOMEN" and "everywhere nowhere" In the album versions, they but extra instruments and really load backing vocals. I wish they kept it like the cms!

I still wished they would release the original CM "moments" version.... Moments was not supposed to be a single at first, but when they decided to release it as a single rather than 'just' a CM-Song, they changed it alot.

alternarist 19th April 2006 11:42 AM

^ hmm actually i always thought that the Moments in the CM is sorta like the background part (without ayu singing). so it sounded a lil different.

About You in the CM sounds slower too.. but its indeed better than the album version!!

i have never saw the still alone CM.. hmm

Think about it people.. like.. hm..

Anime openings. The band makes the short version [which at times sounds different.. i.e: Inuyasha's Grip! from ELT.] and then they refine/complete the song in later stages. It seems to be the reason why singles sometimes come out so much later for anime/game OP/EDs.

But things really aren't the other way around since they'd have to add/subtract elements from a song, and usually CMs have the simpler version [if the CM is done quite a time before a release] It happened before up until like..STEP you. Nowadays the CMs aren't as far from the actual song releases.. :o I wonder if we'll get a 'CM version' collection soon... You never know with Avex! :D
