A song for XX

This is a very stupid question, but could someone tell me how to pronunce "A song for XX"?? Do i say the letter X twice, or do I say only "A song for", or theres other way??? Help! :confused

Grass Monkey 8th March 2003 09:39 PM

it's just "A song for," according to the CMs that came with the LOVEappears Bonus CD.

Ever since, it has spawned numerous jokes from me, such as "A Sniper For XX"(in reference to a Nagase thread)

ImpactBreaker 8th March 2003 11:22 PM

I also think it's really "A song for "???"" The XX aren't pronounced...they are there just to say the song is for someone (or something) but it doesn't mention who or what it is. The CMS alsoi don't pronounce the XX like Grass Monkey mentioned. I like to spell the "XX" though lol

It is pronounced "A Song for". Ayu wrote it for her mother, but she put in the XX so that it could really be a song for anyone.

Oh, now i understand. I asked it because i always pronunced the two Xs, but when i saw tha CM i stated getting confused. Thank you guys!!! :)

mimika 9th March 2003 05:53 AM

Mimika, do you have the Loveppears cd? There are a couple of "A Song for XX" cms on the second disk.

I'm pretty sure it was written for her mother. The info where I read that may have been incorrect, though.

Haha..:laugh :laugh

Grantith 9th March 2003 04:33 PM

It was most likely written for her mother 'cause her father abandoned them. So I would guess that it was written for her mom.

I like the music station clip where the announcer says, "A songs isa borna" LOLLLLL

ImpactBreaker 9th March 2003 08:17 PM

A song isa borna LOL:laugh :roflmao :laugh What about Frien-izu!?:laugh

masa 11th March 2003 07:44 AM

I'd like to add that "A" is pronounced as "ei". The album title is written in Katakana as "ei" in original Japanese version. And I suppose she did so because she liked to suggest that "A" was Ayumi herself. So the hidden meaning would be "Ayumi's song for Mother".

A Song For is how its pronounced. And Im guessing the XX is a variable...

my teacher's right! everything does relate back to math! :eek
