Will Ayu's career end once she reaches her 50th single.

I've been wondering.... Will Ayu's career really come to an end once she reaches her 50th single. That is such a big number. It will be weird if her 50th single and maybe even her 10th original all came out at her 10th anniversary, and then that would be it for her career. Its really something to think about. I hope she still continues. Maybe she might even release a nother BEST album. And maybe all her singles and albums in a box set and all her dvds in another box set. :P

where did this come from o_o, if you've heard of Seiko Matsuda, she's still releasing PLENTY of albums. Even Yumi Matsutoya is still releasing music. I don't see ayu ending anytime after her 50th single is released. Another Best album would be nice too... when her 10th anniversary comes. A nice full scale best album from poker face to whatever her next song will be when the time comes..

Hard to know, I think she'd simply continue, her name alone is enough for a label to want her, she won't stop unless she herself get tired of the life as a super star.

Yes ayu will end on her 50th single

hopefully it'll end sooner.. but nah... she will release bunch of stuff for ever even if its crap :coughbluebirdcough:

truehappiness 20th July 2006 11:39 PM

Well, it'll probably end quite a while after Koda's departure from the music world. :]

lunichi 20th July 2006 11:41 PM

I think she will perform in a nation every summer when she end her career

woah you are so sharp

ayu_fan929 20th July 2006 11:54 PM

^and pointless.

Anyways, for some reason I don't think she will release her 50th single on her 10th anniversary. She'd have to release 10 singles in a period of around 2 years which would make the single releases very rushed (unless she goes back to the 1-song single). I'm not sure if she will continue or not. Maybe she wants to get married first and take a year off or something after her 10th anniversary for that, then come back.

Oh and yeah, I think avex will release a BEST album on her 10th and maybe even a COMPLETE LIVE BOX II featuring all her album/CDL tours (and including TeamAyu Limited Live) since 2000.

yeah i kinda agree with that... she needs to get married... shes not getting any younger... maybe she just needs to take a LONG break.. for her own good..she needs to find out if she is doing "music" because she wants to.. or because she has to...

FuNsTyLe 20th July 2006 11:59 PM

It would be better if she took a year off now, taking care of her own life, get some rest, be with friends, have a good time, get lots of inspiration, and then make a good comeback album in a year or two...:D

For a moment there, I thought you were telling us Ayu was ending her career at her 50th.

:laugh Best title ever

alt.total-loser 21st July 2006 01:14 AM

For some reason, I don't think she'll be ending her career at her 50th single. I just hope it won't drag on forever, either.

Kikaru 21st July 2006 01:27 AM

I dunno...I don't think she'll be as active in the music scene after her 10th anniversary (because let's face it, she's a woman nearing her thirties and Jpop scene is driven by the younger ones), but she'll probably still release singles once awhile, an album once a while.

ComatoseBunnySnatcher 21st July 2006 01:37 AM

I think she will stop either on her 10th album or on the 5oth single

Neo Daydream 21st July 2006 01:50 AM

I think Ayu will still be around long after her 50th single *prays*

Chibi_Venus 21st July 2006 01:56 AM

Who knows? She could take a break for a year, she could stop at 10th album/50th single, she could do anything.

Suppose she released one last album (on her 10th anniversary) and it was A BEST II or something containing her best songs from 1998 to 2008. Then I imagine her last concert being REALLY emotional. *sings Replace to herself* :bawl

No_Doubt 21st July 2006 02:02 AM

Ayu will definitly be around for a long time in my opinion. Eventually, she probably won't produce and release her music at the furious rate she has been for the last eight years, but she will still have a ton of longevity. In a couple of years, I can see her slowing down a bit, but I think she will be going strong many years to come.

I can so totally see that in front of me. She will still be there, probably not the best selling, but she will be Ayumi - the one and only, the phenomenon - steadily giving us new releases even if they'll come much more rarely. She will be strong, the strongest, probably not the most popular but I don't think anyone will be able to create such a well known name as Ayumi has managed to do throughout the years.

Wow, this really sounded die-hard-fan-ish. :mischief
