AT 06 STEP you + Ladies Night
 

Hello everyone.

Does anyone have any idea how Ayu did the AT 06 STEP you + Ladies Night unloosening and exchanging of chains so quickly. I know some people commented that they could actually see them making the change in the dark, so what exactly happened?

I'm seriously quite baffled about it.

but i think the chains was easy to get out to when you go under it... dont you think?

i really love the part when ayu went splashing in the pool after Ladies Night ^_^ its so.. blending with the altyerna video intro

^ I thought so too, but the chains seem difficult to duck down under and slip into all the chains easily because their very loose.

What I want to know, is why nobody else think its funny that one of the male dancers has to start locking up another male dancer :P

^I thought someone went to one of the concerts and said that Ayu and everyone had trouble getting the chains on...Then someone else went to another concert and said that guy just started helping Ayu chain them up. I think there were just too many sexy boys for Ayu to handle on her own. It might've taken her forever if they extended the time limit for it too. I CANNOT WAIT for my b-day money so I can see this concert...*cries* lucky ya'll.

but still the chain trick.. hmmmm

do you think the black stick behidn the chains has soemthign to diow ith the trick? liek pulling it up and then pullign it down? o.o

maybe avex people ask the magic specialist to help them on that..

Yup! It must be quite cool. Has anyone seen disc 3 of Arena Tour 2006 yet? Probably there are some insights to it? It's just CONFUSING.

One of the offshots from Disc 3 showed Ayu being chained up at practice...It looked like there was a tall lever on the back of the pole that let the chains loose. I'm thinking there was some sort of magnetic contraption involved and that there were magnets on the chains & locks...I'll go watch it again later and see if I can pick up anything else. :)

Cool, been wondering about it since I saw it happen in front of my own eyes... I can't wait for my DVD to see that part on disc 3.

I'll say it's a special contraption. The black pole at the back is actually 2 thinner poles. So you can chain up a person and he'll look trapped. But when a lever is pulled, the 2 poles at the back separate, and the person can leave from the back, while another person goes in. The lever is pulled back and the other person is trapped. Voila!! ;)

well in one instance, the padlock appears on the outside, then when they "magically" switch positions, the padlock is sandwiched the chains and the dancers body.

Hmm... I can't wait for the DVD either then :) I thought the chain thingo would have chains on both sides, but then you would be able to see them :rolleyes

I heard somewhere that Ayu had a magician help her with this. I don't know how reliable that is though.

Yup, I think actually the pole is able to be separated into two, and then you can slip into it and out of it. If you observe the base of the poles, you'll notice that it actually consists of two sections. It is splitted into half. So I guess it's by magnets that they actually separate and then get joined back together.

Most probable explanation and possibly that's how it's done.

i think i got what ruixiong89 is saying. the black pole can actually open up to allow the male dancers to leave the platform while the female dancers can step onto the paltform. the male dancers den put the poles together.. right?

Yup, however again, I kind of realised there's a problem if you take that technique. Firstly, the chains would be lose when the guys left, hence, wouldn't the chains be kind of like loose and when the girls fit in, it would definitely require sometime for them to position themselves properly with the chains. It doesn't appear to be so in AT06.

Secondly, if you observe the chains, they're one full circular chain, hence even if the poles opened, the chains are not two separate pieces (they are still joined together in a ring) and it would still not be possible for the girls to fit in. This problem however, can be overcome. If the chains were nailed at exact positions on the poles and made to look like they were in a circular chain, when in reality, they are two separate chains.

I would think it's just some of the magic tricks that are not easily noticed in the dark.

I think its like... there's one big pole and they have 2 poles on each side which can be pulled out.. so when the lights get turned off, Ayu pulls on them and the dancer gets out and she gets in... thats why it was like?
