Does anyone actually listen to music with a CD player anymore?
It seems like everyone has some sort of mp3 player these days, including me. I only use CDs for the couple minutes it takes to copy them onto my computer and then it goes on my ipod and I put the CD away on a shelf. So, what do you use to listen to music? Do any of you still use CD players?

Very occasionally. I rip the CDs to my comp like you said.
I do use CDs in cars tho. |
I use a CD player in my car. Otherwise I listen to music on my computer or my ipod.
|
I delete CD's i own and play them on me comp
|
I occasionally listen to CDs on my CD player 'Cause then i don't have to wear headphones (:
|
I use my iPod.
Occasionally, I use my CD player. |
I still listen to my CDs, mostly on my DVD player though, as my stereo can be weird and not play some newer CDs. I like to play some CDs on the stereo downstairs when I'm cleaning or doing something else, because I don't like to use the mp3 player too much. When I'm using my computer I'll listen to mp3s that I've ripped when I don't want to listen to different albums or songs.

i use a cd player sometimes...like 50% of the time i use cd's and 50% of the time i use ipod or computer.
what i really want is a vinyl player though. lol. |
I listen to my portable CD player in bed at nights and I sometimes listen to music from my sound system in perfect lossless quality. :)

Yeah - the only time I don't is when I use my mp3 player when I'm walking around the house or going out somewhere. The rest of the time - which is a couple of hrs a day - I listen on my portable CD player. Or if I'm playing a game and I need some music, my CD player/radio. I like to feel I'm getting use out of my CDs after spending all that cash on them lol.

I no longer have an mp3 player, only a portable CD player and a stereo set. |
I always use my mp3 player.
I only buy CD's to simply collect them, sort of like trophy's. |
I have no sound system where you can hear a difference between about 192 kbps mp3 and CD quality, so I listen almost solely to mp3s on the computer. Occasionally mp3s on my dvd player or ipod also. I do still BUY cds, but only the essential ones cuz i'm broke. The music I don't want to lose (cuz computer data isn't permanent, unfortunately, but factory-produced cds are, for the most part... only a few factory defects in the mid-80's showed a loss of sound over the years but that's a long boring technical thing so i'll shut up).
Might listen to CDs in my dvd player but yeah, for the most part, it's mp3s and mp3 rips for me. |
mp3 players (particularly iPods) for me. I haven't listened to music via CD player in ages. :shakehead

Not at all ;) I <3 my iPod. It rules me entire existance
|
LOL, only in the car!
why the hell do I still buy cd's? |
only if i want to listen to songs that i have not transferred to my mp3 player
|
Only when I go out...which is hardly ever :(....
Provided that I did go out(side of my house) a lot..then i'd have a zen micro or something to replace my CD player :(~... It's so sad ;-;....I smell that CD's will eventually be transitioned out of permanently pretty soon |
I got an iPod for my birthday this year and thus abandoned my CD player XD It's really more convenient now since I don't have to lug around my ginormous CD case.
|
Only in my room at home. I don't have an MP3 player, so...yeah.
And of course in the car! Well, my mom's car...but still. And I listen to my CDs on my laptop as well, although I prefer my Discman because my laptop has a lame sound card. |
