Fans

stars that came to the show include eason chan, miriam yeung, andy hui, and older generation stars pak suet sin and chung chor hung.

ayu arrived at the veune at 4pm, and didnt even come out of the venue for the worshipping ritual. fans were very disappointed.

many fans were queueing up for the merchandise goods. the first guy queued up since 3am. the whole set of gods costs HK$2136.

Everyone who entered had to have their bags searched and cameras confiscated. To surprise ayu, fans were instructed to say OMEDETOU to ayu for the 9th anniversary, and sing "poker face" to ayu.

norain 8th April 2007 04:58 AM

Hmm, I'm guessing, she didn't come out of the venue for the "worshiping" because the people wanted to surprise her? Since, if she came out, she would've known?

Eh, I don't get that 2nd sentence much.

Impracticable 8th April 2007 05:03 AM

me either, i have no idea what it is supposed to mean =\

^ We, as in Chinese, usually have this worshipping ritual to worship the buddhist gods etc. for good luck, prosperity, good health and mainly just to make sure everything goes well. You'll see a lot of this worshipping culture when Chinese movies/tv series start filming etc. Someone please correct me if I'm not 100% correct seeing that I'm just Australian Chinese.

ayu_fan929 8th April 2007 05:24 AM

^Yeah. That's what I see artists do right before the concert for good luck. And they also usually cut a piece of pig.

Eigakan 8th April 2007 05:56 AM

that's pretty interesting

But aren't they both Taoist and Buddhist gods? Yes, in the Chinese film and music industry, a lot of these rituals have to be done to ensure good luck.

Kind of similar to Shinto rituals... kami (gods) and stuff.

the second part where the fans surprise her with singing 'poker face' is during the concert. while the 'praying' part is BEFORE the concert

yes, we did that to hope everything will go smoothly, and that the spirts will not disturb the process. it's a sort of giving a respect for the spirt too

norain 8th April 2007 07:47 AM

Yes, but if they are telling everyone walking in, to sing poker face, she would've heard it? (confused)

4ever*ayu 8th April 2007 08:06 AM

Why would she come out of the venue for the worshipping ritual? =o

She's christian, not buddhist in my knowledge...
Thanks, didn't know about this before =)

AyuGAME 8th April 2007 03:07 PM

woah so many big HK stars went her concert.. thats good..

evolution7931 8th April 2007 03:15 PM

Ayu is NOT Christian. It says it nowhere. Look at Part of Me PV. Since when has reincarnation been a Christian philosophy? Since never. Its Buddhist. I personally dont think shes a specific member of any religion in particular, I think she's just an open minded free thinking person

Sim' 8th April 2007 03:27 PM

You take the part of Me PV as an exemple, I take the M PV as my exemple =)
[Church, Maria, the cross]
And the part of Me isn't 100% related to reincarnation, well for me, everyone has a different point of view about the last part when the flowers appear!
I take it as the circle of life, as we were seeing the butterfly eated by the insect by the snake, maybe human give also life to flowers after the decomposition of the body...

Plus, she's wearing (or was wearing) the cross quite often =)
Between all the choices, I would personally say christian then, but it's my personal opinion of course, no fact =)

But well, only Ayu can know her own religion right now =/
[I don't remember reading something about Ayu's religion...]
