My First Bootleg
 

Hi AHS, I don't know if any of you remember me ... I'm probably more known as ayuspeed and I haven't been here in a long, long time. Anyways, I went to Japan town, SF, today and couldn't find anything I wanted to buy among the scores of freaky cosplayers, until in Mikado Music I noticed two Best of CDL live DVDs. I thought it was weird, because I didn't remember them being sold seperate, but I bought it anyways. I really wanted this DVD, bad. But then I noticed it had the weirdest case when opening it. It was glued together so you had to rip it apart to open it. Weird, but it looked okay. Then I went home to play the disc on my JPS2. Worked fine at first, but now it only plays up to track 6 and sometimes not even that. Other times the disc won't even read at all. Its playing now, but who knows if it will continue to play in the future. :(

Anyways, what are your bootlegging experiences? Am I mistaken; is this not a bootleg?

Best of CDL has never been released separately from A BEST 2 WHITE
so yeah, you have a bootleg o-o

It's a bootleg since BEST of CDL and the BEST of CDL Behind the Scenes DVD was only sold as the 3rd DVD for both A BEST 2 -WHITE- & -BLACK- packages respectively. :/

My bootlegging experiences was when my friend bought me Memorial address from HK and it was a mega fake. XDDD I see tons of bootlegged DVDs at the j-pop store I go to in the city, wishing they had some real ones for me to buy. D:

My boyfriend bought me a bootleg from Chinatown once. He meant well :)

i was still new Ayu fan so i didnt know wat bootlegs relli look like etc. i went on ebay and bought this set of Ayu Concerts and it costed me USD$100 and all the DVD's only worked halfway and doesnt play smoothly, the covers and case was also very ugly...i wanted to cry...

i've seen a bootleg memorial address cd in a california bookstore XD it was funny
they had grateful days, ourselvescdtv-live (or something along the lines), etc etc

I have gotten a couple of anime bootlegs off of ebay, and there's this anime store in Dallas I went to that is FULL of bootlegs. My friend told me about it, saying they had a bunch of J-pop cds and Asian movies. Then later she figured out that her Gackt CD she bought was a bootleg. We went to the anime store and sure enough, just about every dvd and cd there were bootlegs =( I was really sad.

You should watch out...

I have 3 bootlegs and the only one that doesn't works is I am... I can't play completely the last 2 tracks.

actually u shd confirm whether its a bootleg or not b4 buying by going avex ayumi official web and check it in the discography..

I've bought bootleg CPOP cds, but I knew they were bootleg and I was willing to buy them anyway. I'm generally pretty good at figuring out if CDs are bootleg or not.

They're not all that great, anyways. :3

I really wish the law would crack down on ayu Bootlegs in particular since she is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO....times infinity ok? popular and stuff our queen needs more money!!! bootleg sales probably contribute to her "bad" sales she been having!!!

hmmm I think it's moreso people who rely on internet downloads that contribute to bad sales. Since most people use mp3 players nowadays, who needs CDs?

I still buy CDs just because I like collecting CDs.

I used to go to Mikado Music all the time when I lived in CA! Yeah, they've always sold some bootlegs. So does that video store next to that store that sells car stuff.
