A question about new Ayu music, requires an honest answer

When I first started listening to Ayu back in 2000 there were all the remix songs like Neverever, Fly high and those mega trance mixes
How come there isnt anymore of these anymore?

ayumisrael 17th June 2007 02:48 PM

Remixes are not popular as they used to be and they sell low.

Kagome-chan 17th June 2007 02:49 PM

Yes..remix sell low...but they are very beautiful..Ayu Trance and Ayu trance 2 are very wonderful

bondingo 17th June 2007 02:50 PM

I think it will be hard to get an "Official" answer, but I think anyone will tell you it's because of the sales. They've gone down dramatically since that period, so my "honest" guess would be that it's because they don't feel they would be selling, so therefore not worth the extra effort of money required.

:yes that's true...

to bad she doesn't release remixes anymore :(

fossil 17th June 2007 03:10 PM

awww, that is sad. Well atleast I've kept most of her trance mixed back in the days. =P

Raleigh 17th June 2007 04:15 PM

Yeah sadly the remix craze has worn off and now only some singles have a few remixes

freedreamer 17th June 2007 04:36 PM

at least some singles still have it...but i duun think some are as good as the last time's one....*adores euro*

Lee_Hamasaki 17th June 2007 05:08 PM

i love ayu ro mix XD and ayu trance XD and i don't understand why in glitter/fated will be secret without remix

norain 18th June 2007 06:07 AM

I'm not sure about you guys...but the acoustic orchestra remixes were the best.

austin. ♥ 18th June 2007 08:30 AM

i miss the days off eurobeat too :(
but yeah. what they said entirely.

fanmail 18th June 2007 02:39 PM

low sales =( those remix albums were the best!! especially the "ayu-mi-x" ones ^o^

ayu_ready? 19th June 2007 07:51 PM

I guess the right answer is that
back in old times Ayu was on top & every single was MAXI
that means it included not 2-4 tracks but more & some remixes

besides, Ayu's avex decided not to do any more remixes cuz the lastremix albums sold out badly, as they haven't expected
the other thing is that Ayu's music now is light rock & not pop
so it's hard to make any remixes of that stuff

still, nowadays, Ayu fans realli miss old good remixes :yes

sitara 19th June 2007 08:42 PM

well, the latest rmx album really had the worst remixes, imo. it was only....bad! guess that did it's part to the whole saling result.

thwy could at least release singlemixes D: i'm so dissatisfied!

ayu_ready? 19th June 2007 10:59 PM

well..her single remixes are bad now...
Moments remixes were okay...remixes for Will, HEAVEN & STEP you are good but they were released like..2 years ago?

I also think the general interest in such music has declined. But the maine reason is sales.

perfectodub 22nd June 2007 04:29 AM

i think the problem is that
japanese people are bad :
for make remixes
for listen remixes and
for dance the Remixes

the worst remixes are always japaneses
..and the eurobeat sounds really cheap and ridiculous
The Greatest japanese Djs they found a better floor on western countries
and the best ayu remixes comes from EUROPE and US

ayumeg 22nd June 2007 07:20 AM

:( I miss remixes, too. I do believe it's because the sales of the last remix albums that she put out were so terrible. I bought them, though. :(

walking proud 27th June 2007 12:53 AM

I'm one of the ones that say good riddance to the remixes :]

Not necessarily. In the STEP you/is this LOVE? CM, they clearly state "NEW MAXI-SINGLE" and that single only had those to tracks and the instrumentals...

I miss the Ayu mixes. I think Ayu-ro mix 3 was the best despite my hearing that people were dissapointed in the last set of the remix albums. Although I must agree that ayu-mi-x 5 was terrible...

Sales were low as everyone mentioned, but Ami Suzuki got a remix album not too long ago. WTF is the deal with that!?
