Ayu on MTV America?

I heard somewhere that one of Ayu's PVs was aired on MTV America. Is this true? And if it is, which one was it? Was it recently? Sorry, I'm just extremely curious now. :P

I think someone's pulling your leg but it's possible... now I wanna know.

Never heard anything like it...

me either .. but i know Utada has been .. and not just her exodus songs ... (they did something once where they showed Japanese music .. it was for some huge event) so It may have been then So its not out of the question.

I think maybe it was aired on the "International Week"?

When I told my mother that glitter was going to air on MTV, she thought it was in America. I really wish that they would air her PVs over here. She's certainly a better role model than most of the singers over here anyway.

Utada's exodus songs, err, only Easy Breezy, was aired for like probably at the max 2 days before they pulled it out of rotation. On MTV2 they showed Can you keep a secret, I think, for something. They used to have MTV Chi where they would air stuff like that, but nah.

I know that in Canada, we have Much Music, and the Quebec version Musique Plus shows Ayu PVs on request. I saw "alterna" before :x

Ani_C 9th July 2007 01:33 AM

There are NO Ayu or J-Pop PV's being aired here in the Philippines, just a ton of local and Western crap xD

Beauty4123 9th July 2007 03:55 AM

nothing jpop will ever air in america. it's sad, but true.

I've watched L'arc En Ciel videos recently, not only the song from FF Movie but Killing Me, but then again Awake was released in America, so it's not that strange..

I havne't seen any Utada video yet and the possibilty to watch any of Ayu's is very remote I guess.

hmm...if only her PV's were aired over here...

ayumeg 10th July 2007 04:06 AM

Speaking as an American, typical American viewers aren't ready/won't ever be ready to view Jpop videos without making fun of them. My sister is a prime example. The concepts are just too different.

cloud♥honey 10th July 2007 04:14 AM

The L'arc videos were demonstred in MTV Brazil.
