If you're willing tol go back in time, I recommend "Dogs blood rising" by Current 93. The album is highly experimental but it has this abrasive sound that I think a fan of metal would appreciate. Just know that some people find it scary.

Back in the now, Deftones are an awesome band, their latest album "Saturday Night Wrist" is really hard and rocking.

paper_doll 8th July 2007 04:57 AM

^ I agree with Deftones.

I'd also recommend Mudvayne, Alexisonfire, Fair to Midland, Stone Sour.

You should also try Rammstein (a german band) and Disturbed.

Disturbed, Mudvayne, Stone Sour, Flyleaf (not really that hard, but still amazing), Bullet For My Valentine..

I'll think of more later. XD

Rob Zombie is also very good!

Miku 8th July 2007 10:45 AM

Haha... I totally forgot about Rob Zombie. Really good.

Vinylfantasy 10th July 2007 09:39 AM

Nine Inch Nails!

spookshow 10th July 2007 10:57 AM

as for goth rock, try Theatre of Tragedy, Lacuna Coil and After Forever

Miku 10th July 2007 11:07 AM

okay .. thx alot .. can you recommend me your favorite albums ^ ^

spookshow 10th July 2007 11:54 AM

for Lacuna Coil -- try Karmacode -- which contains a very good cover of Depeche Mode's enjoy the silence

for Theatre of Tragedy, Musique and Assembly featuring lead singer Live Kristine are worth listening to. Liv Kristine left the band, and now they have some dark-haired chick as lead singer, and she's also pretty good -- their latest album storm is also worth a listen

and i forgot to mention leaves' eyes -- the band Liv Kristine is now lead singer for -- their stuff is also very good. both their albums (vinland saga and lovelorn) are worth a listen
