Ayumi in May 2007 "Shojo Beat"
 

Hello all! I'm new here and this is the first post I've made and I'm really nervous about it, so please go easy on me! I'm really enjoying AHS - everyone here seems so nice! I'm really sorry if this has been posted before, but I know there are people who never saw it and seeing as how it's the only thing Ayumi-related I have to offer right now, I thought I'd post it.

There was an article in the North American "Shojo Beat" magazine about Ayumi and I scanned it in for your viewing pleasure. I was really excited to see her get a full article in an American magazine, even if it is a manga magazine where most readers may have heard of Ayu already.

So how do you feel about Ayu getting coverage in American magazines? I know the article wasn't anything too spectacular (they didn't even mention the fact that North American fans can buy some of her songs on iTunes now), but I still like the fact that she was mentioned. Though I highly doubt it, since she expressed no interest in performing in America (except for that one CNN interview where she said she'd "go anywhere"), it would be nice if she did *something* next year in America to celebrate her anniversary. I know I would definitely try to see her!

Yeah, I have that issue...in my opinion it was too little too late. Shojo Beat has done much more extensive coverage and interviews with other artists. All Ayu got was one page. =/

It's funny how every other magazine says that she's 29 and we're the only ones that said that she's 28! :laugh But I would love for her to get to Nashville, dammit! DX

Yeah, I agree :/ I love Shoujo Beat 'n' all, but they should've given Ayu a few more pages xD I mean, with just a one page article like that, I don't think that people reading that would really understand how HUGE she is in Japan, you know?

Other than that, it's a pretty good article, and I <3 Shoujo Beat ^__^

Oh have they? Hmmm, well you would think they would have put more effort into the Ayu article then. I don't keep up with Shojo Beat on a regular basis, but happened to be flipping through it in the book store when I saw that article. :)
