Hey look, she hopped back to 12! Awesome. Sales of 150k is good. Other artists try to struggle for 150k (like BoA), so I think this is good.

Hopped? She's been there for 5 days, it's like... getting boring already. XD

To continue what was from the last thread, I agree with namiie - I don't think Ayu being in extra magazine covers would've had a big impact on the sales.

Why do avex publicate with magazines from first place?

Though I think magazines might help, I think I saw that hikki has LOADS of magazine appearances this month and next month for the new single, loads of dates...

I think the current sales represents the quality of this single. There is no way this single had as much promotion as her previous things did and sometimes the crowd needs to be reminded of an artist. The sales reflect that.

Just as well this single wasn't really anything new and innovative. Even though it shares similarities with Blue Bird an argument could be made that Blue Bird was in fact better than glitter, had a more fitting PV and the covers were 100xs better.

Lets hope next single will be an amazing song, with an immense amount of promotion behind it, hopefully more than just one CM, tons of magazine and TV appearances, as well as really good covers and a PV that will make people "just have to have it"!

i think glitter can pass freaky for sure...lets hope that it can hit 200k, one month from now

I'm sort of doubting that it will surpass 200,000 copies, but oh well. Let's hope the next single does better I guess.

I just hope it sells like 180,000 copies. Btw welcome back ^^

for drop from #4 to #15, the sales numbers actually didn't drop that much...

I have much more faith in her next single. summer singles are always a hit or miss.

Well, if you compare the first 3 weeks sales with those of B&D (& startin'), you get:
glitter/fated: 110K, 24K, 13K, ?, ?
B&D: 83K, 23K, 10K, 7K, 6K, 1K
(startin': 116K, 30K, 15K, 9K, 5K, 3K)

glitter/fated is certainly doing better than B&D even though second week is the same, 1st & 3rd week are 30% higher. So I'm predicting about 8-9K 4th week, 6-8K 5th week. She can at least add 15K to glitter/fated, so I think we'll have a final sales of 160-170K. I think that's a safe prediction. Which is still good :) Let's hope info on her next single will come soon, and I hope it rocks!

I don't think anyone can really compare any single with B/D because B/D almost killed her #1 streak. (Almost, but that's all that matters). So in that event, B/D was released before the album's 1 month away release...so...I think comparing it to her other singles from Secret is better.

Glitter/Fated: 110k, 24k, 13k...
Startin': 116K, 30K, 15K, 9K, 5K, 3K... = 188,551
Blue Bird: 160k, 48k, 20k, 10k, 6k, 2k... = 258,566 (<-- of course, this is a dream at the moment)

She's just doing well at this moment. But we're waiting for the 42nd single...

MAN look at all the single releases this week! Ayu's not even on the Daily Top 20 anymore :(

Oh well, Ai Otsuka is still there and ELT are doing relatively okay, so I'm still rooting for them XD Hopefully glitter/fated will go on to sell no less than Startin'/Born to Be.
