Old Bumps?

ummm ..... a few old threads from around 2004 have started appearing on the first page of General Discussion ..... why is this? :thud

alt.total-loser 18th August 2007 01:03 PM

Because I'm bored and not too many new topics are being made.

(actually, I've only bumped 1 of those old threads. Hmm.)

fanmail 18th August 2007 01:08 PM

no, they just like "appeared", the last posts were from 2004 O_O

Sakura_Genki 18th August 2007 01:13 PM

If it's a poll then when people vote in it, it automatically bumps the thread, so someone must have voted in it.

People have suggested that this should be changed but its never happened.

fanmail 18th August 2007 01:23 PM

thanks ^_~ I think they're all with polls, so that's probably why :D

Beauty4123 19th August 2007 04:34 PM

but the threads are from 2004 or 2005. how can they go all the way back to those old posts just to vote in a poll?

miniayumi 20th August 2007 08:23 AM

lately i've seen a lot too, but i'm guilty of bumping like 1 or 2. but that's only because i did a search for threads of interest and i had no idea that the polls were 2-3 years old...

..:Hot:Like:Wow:.. 20th August 2007 08:59 AM

I voted in an old poll once but the thread was still relavent so meh...

so they should'nt change how the thread gets bumped when voted in.

Kodayumi 20th August 2007 09:01 AM

i stopeed bumping old threads since last year. Not me XD

ohsixthirty 21st August 2007 01:25 AM

this always seems to be happening. i just try to ignore those old posts because they annoy me.

taskinillusion 21st August 2007 05:49 AM

Well, it depends on what the topic is, but I don't mind when some posts get bumped. I know I've done it once or twice. It happens mostly when people search the forums for a specific topic, find a thread that matches what they were searching for, and they post in it too since it's relevant. *shrugs* It doesn't really bother me since I haven't exactly been around since the creation of the board so I get to see other stuff that's here.
