Ayu + Avex homepage quirk
 

When new releases are due from its artists, Avex updates its homepage with a large Flash advertisement for 5 or so releases. The ad will have a large graphic banner, below which is one medium-sized preview tab for each release. On a given week, there may be simultaneous ads for Koda Kumi, EXILE, Super Eurobeat, Otsuka Ai, and Gazen Parapara. You can choose which banner you want to see.

However, Ayu's album comes out today, and this is what Avex's homepage looks like:

We don't even get a choice! I just thought this was kind of funny, albeit not at all surprising.

I saw that too, but I think it's because Ayu's release was all that avex had out on 1/1.. right?

so the official release was still the 01.01.08? even though they brought it forward for the christmas surprise treat?

I think they may have messed up here...not sure confusing consumers is a good idea...

That's kind of weird - maybe it's because her album is made by the flagship of Avex, which is Ayu...

Well it seems she needs it.

The release date is 1/1/08 but they did an early release of Christmas Day. Which failed - Badly

They did that for (miss)understood too... The release thing... or at least that's what I've been told..

I noticed it too, that they put up like, a permanent banner, while they usually have the flash roll-over ad - and it's been like that for at least a week, I think. Feels like they really want to get the release message through, thus didn't let any other promos distract anyone from Ayu and GUILTY.

look at the bottom page, on Access Ranking ayu is #3 place, just above koda!! yay..

If I were Ayumi right now, I'd be like, "Ba-ba-ba BAM!" XD
