Why do people hate Born To Be...?
 

I know, it was different as was Startin' [and people hate that as well. WTF.]~

But I don't really see the reason why people hate it. Can someone clue me in as to WHY?

It's inspirational, powerful, and has an awesome arrangement. What is there to hate? Is it annoying? Is the title blah? Is it because of the PV?

I think some people are blinded [LOL.] by the video and don't see the true potential in the song.

Like, the same goes for Startin' and how cheesy the PV was. They were both extremely solid tracks, but had lacking PVs done by a lacking director.

Well, from what I have heard it's PV, because it's annoying and boring. I like Born to Be... a lot, but I don't say I love it. It's okay song, and it really dows have something that really wakes me up if I'm half asleep. :p And Born to Be was also a olympic opening song or something, and I guess it was meant to be like it is. But it's cool even though, and I find it hard to understand why so many people hate it.

Startin' is cool because it has some eurobeat influences on it, I love that song more than Born to Be, but I like them both, Startin' though is better. People hate this song too? Wow, first time I've heard someone say that. :0 I really don't. I love Startin' a lot, it's awesome song of self confidence. :> Well, actually when I think about it, it could be because of the PV, too, because it seems to me it's a bit too Britney Spears like. I didn't like that PV very much, but the song is awesome, just like Born to Be... :)

It grates. A lot. I don't think it's a particularly bad song, but just as B&D, I can't stand listening to the wailing and the sound image is way to clutered and noisy. It's great as an anthem though, but as a full song it's too much.

I don't hate it but I don't like very much either. The PV was kind of boring, and I think it was just a bit loud and obnoxious. I do listen occassionally.

But I know you will always like everything Ayu releases XD and defend her in every possible way and that's great, but there'll also be people who don't like certain songs. (I can understand why people don't like Startin' or Born To Be...)

The PV is non-original and very boring, however the song has good lyrics and a great vibe!
I think this song was made because of the 2006 Winter Olympic Games, cause it transmits power, energy and hope.
But I also say that is not a song that plays a lot in my winamp LOL

but i get the feel from this song if i see AT tour 2006..

I dont hate the song ,but I dont love it either.... its a pretty ok song to me though...
I hated the pv

who says people hate Born To Be...? (well i freaking hated the PV). the song is full of energy and power. and yet i cant see of these 2 factors in the PV cos i was blinded by the amount of light. i duno what's the significance. But whats the point when i cant see anything?????? its worse than something visually bad.

and for Startin', i like both the song and the PV. i dont really understand why people like to compare Startin''s PV with Britney's Toxic. But ayu's PV is so cool!! Since when u see ayu riding a bike in such a cool manner although its all computers..

I don't matter the PV.
I like or don't like a song, because of, what it sound's like.. not what the PV looks like.
But.. for me.. I also don't really like Born to be. What don't means that I hate that song.
I only really like it.

I'd like the song more if the backing chorus was less loud. it's a bit overpowering on ayu's voice & not really pleasant sounding. I don't hate the song though, it's just not one of the better songs off Secret IMO ...

The only time I liked Born to Be was when it was performed on her (miss) understood tour, man that was amazing, but I find it usually really boring =S
Dunno' why, I guess it just never clicked for me.
