paypal enquires

I would like to buy some things from ebay , particularly ayumi's (miss)understood CD + DVD which comes with the on my way photobook .

I know that ebay only accepts payment from paypal . I do have a paypal account but I have no idea as to how it works especially since I do not have a credit/debit card as I'm still a student .

whoever has a paypal account , can you please teach me on how it works since I have a bank account but no credit/debit card on hand thanks .

As I know to work with internet-shops via PayPal account you should have a credit\debet bank card. It is obligatory.
I don't know how it's in your country but in mine even students who are above 14 or 16 (I'm not sure, sorry) can obtain a debet bank card. Of course not every bank will emit a bank card for such a young client but there are enough banks which do this.
So even if you fail with obtaining your own bank card you can always ask your elder friends or relatives to obtain the card for themselves.

^ Pretty much what ayuMIV said. If you can't obtain a credit card yourself try asking permission to use your relatives' card.

thanks guys . If that's the case I would need to ask someone to help me get those items from ebay on my behalf since I do not have a credit & debit card .

you can apply a debit card from the local banks-POSB. apply for the orange color ones(not the stupid GO! blue color card, you can't use that for online purchase), they are the same function as ATM cards, only better is you can use as a master card to pay online.

i got it too and been using that for a year plus

How much will it cost for the card?
Actually what's a debit card?

I only have the blue atm one.

not sure whether will there be charges if I were to apply for the orange card .

A debit card works exactly the same as a credit card . The only difference is that whatever items that you pay using a debit card , the amount will be deducted straightaway from your bank account , unlike a credit card where you settle your credit card purchases next month .

So do you have to pay interest or something? Some credit cards do charge interest...
Or it's like using cash?

i don't think you need to pay interest if you're using a debit card . Essentially the debit card will automatically deducted $ straightaway from your bank account unlike a credit card where the credit card company pay for your purchases now & then later on after you receive your credit card bill then you settle your payments .

For a debit card , it will deduct $ on the spot from your bank account .

there is no fees at all using the debit card. not to worry. (^_^)

just be careful not to overspend, or your bank ccount will be miserable, as they deduct from your bank account, just like when you pay using NETS.
