Ayu is $4000 pr 20 min in Hong Kong, $3800 in mainland. Bootleg ayu is usually in the $300-1000 range for an hour and you avoid waitlist, and in Hong Kong you also have option of wax ayu for $2000 pr 30 min.

maybe the apparent abundance you experienced in 1 place in China is a abberation, or that it's aprt of avex trying to get ayu into the CHina mkt, and the avg. Chinese person right now wont pay 'premium' prices for Japan artist stuff.

i know, but as nick said these are official items not bootlegs. so i would think the prices were lowered for the China market since median income is lower than hk, jpn, etc.

actually, the ayu albums are actually a lot cheaper than you posted. if you buy them in mongkok, ayu albums are only HK$ 100 each, which is US$ 12 each. singles (CD+DVD) are around HK$60 which is US$ 7.5 if you go to sino centre in mongkok, go to the basement, and the first shop you see has a COMPLETE ayu singles and albums collection for you to buy. you can even buy kanariya, fly high and appears cd single, all japanese versions!!!!!
