What random place have you heard Ayu?
 

Most of us don't live in a country where Japanese music is the norm, but have you ever--by some random coincidence--heard Ayu being played somewhere?

I've heard her (and a few other artist) in a few weird places:
-on vacation with a friend in L.A. 7 years ago in a toy store O_o They were playing Daybreak and Scarlet (the theme song for Ceres)
-at two different Japanese restaurants (along with some Hikki :D)
-in my brother's room XD (I'm sure it was just because he accidentally transferred some of my songs onto his computer)
-in my Geisha class (someone was listening to Evolution on their laptop)
-IN SOME GIRL'S CAR!!!! <---I never found her!! I was at an intersection about 3 or 4 years ago and the girl in the car next to me was playing I am... and I tried chasing her down, but I couldn't catch up with her in traffic. :( :(
-a group of Asian students in my union were listening to her once as background noise
-in a Nagoya jewelry/hair store (the entire Secret album on repeat and the the Glitter/Faded single)<--I suppose not surprising, but I was sure surprised!!

this's not really random but I did heard Greatful Days played at a Daiso shop in S'pore . The shop sells Japanese related goods & everything goes for 2 bucks for each item .

- I heard Dearest -acoustic version- on a japanese restaurant (is not thaaat weird..but since I live in mexico its a little weird)
- I heard evolution in a guy's car...he went at the same japanese school but in a different level...


and I was playing pokemon diamond for NintendoDS and this guy got the 'A' symbol on his details... we became friends since then

Well i was at a food court/mall and i looked up to the big TV and they were playing CDL 06-07 *dies* i was like wtf lol. But there was no sound but still that's awesome lol.

Nowhere. o_0;

One of my friends said he heard "Real me" being played on a Pump it up machine :laugh I never saw it though.....

hmm at the drama shop I heard Mirror, which isn't so random cause I heard Ai's "Kumuriuta" and "Heart and YUI'S "Cherry", haha basically a lot of japanese music but those were the ones I got excited for.
Also in 'Laguna' which is some asian food store that we went to for our indo 'excursion'. I literally screamed cause HEAVEN was being played and half my class was in there..so they were like O___O along with the shop owners. It was pretty exciting cause thats literally the first time my class would have heard her music even if they are asian..since they're kinda white-washed:dead2 (hope you don't get offended, its just the only term I can think of):headache

this isnt really weird but an asian supermarket in the city was playing her Secret album

I have herd Kumi's BUT being played at a salad bar in Brisbane city. I was like OMFG I KNOW THAT SONG!!! So I stood there untill the song ended lmao, then got a train home :D. Im sure i have seen Ayumi in a random place, just cant think of it atm.

Same here, but there's two different incidents which i had remembered vividly are ''dearest'' in a fashion shop and ''boys and girls in'' an adidas shop.

I've heard evolution used as background music for this online video game, but I cannot remember what it is! lol.

Some racing game that my friend was showing me... and ironically he came to me saying the song was pretty awesome, and as soon as it started I was like, "Ayumi Hamasaki - evolution" :laugh

He shook his head at me.

I only saw "M-Beyonde and Above Mix" and "Connected" PV in TV.
Well.. this are two of the single, which was released in Germany. But.. thats all.

I heard an Ayu remix, A-yu-mix, track at a Fitness First near where I live :D
I was soo happy, that was the first and last time I heard an Ayu track here in Holland..or Europe even ;)

I heard Replace (I guess it was the MY STORY album) in some shop at Cineleisure (a MEGA shopping mall lol).

And just yesterday, I was at Best Denki (electronics shop) and on a few of their laptops, there was a video of Ayu performing vogue! Like omfg I was so stunned and all... but I confirmed it was vogue cos I could hear it... and I don't think it's a recent performance since vogue is soooo old but Ayu still looks as sweet as ever~

I was in a Chinese restaurant in China Town in London in December
And suddenly Dolls came on!!
I nearly choked on my food
It was random because they were playing english tracks before! I was so shocked and happy :)

I've only heard random Ayu once in an arcade in Dallas on Guitar Freaks - Depend on you. I wish I would hear other people playing Ayu around here. No one I know here listens to any Japanese music.
