Fashion Show Music

Hey guys,

I am preparing my debut Fashion show for school, and my theme/ design was more like 80's / futuristic look. The line included some insane jackets in different shapes like Square/ triangle/ circle/ star pairing off with some more wearable bottom that is twisted... etc

So my problem is I have until February and I will need back ground music to go with it. I was thinking of Ayu immediately of course, but I am not sure what song is the best... I was thinking something more American people will be easily accept like a trance music such as Connected, or those instrumental songs...I think the song needs to be around 8-10 mins and I was thinking to have people rearranging it but I just can't think of the best song to go with it.

Please somebody help me!

You should definitely try out her songs from Ayu-mi-x 6 -GOLD- and -SILVER-.

Beautiful Fighters X MSTRKRFT was the first song to come to mind.

thanks for suggesting... i will think about it

Connected would definitely work and would fit with a futuristic theme.

Ooh, how about WHATEVER -Dub's 1999 Club Mix-? That might work nicely ^__^ There's also evolution "LAW IS Q MIX" & kanariya "Jonathan Peters' Vocal Club Mix"~

Ladies Night's remix on ayu-mi-x 6 would also work I think with the bass pumped up.

So perhaps a snippet of Ladies Night -> Beautiful Fighters -> Connected [any mix?]? We have a lot of remixers here at AHS and I'm sure they'd help you if you asked. I could try to ask one of my friends who was also a model if he can help, since he's sort of a model/remixer/Ayu-fan..

kirei_ayumi 22nd July 2008 04:16 AM

how about Naturally 'wippenberg remix'? it should fit perfectly.

mike623 22nd July 2008 04:24 AM

Yeah I was also considering Whatever / naturally, but never think of making a snippet of different things good point! thanks guys

I second Ladies Night; when Geo composed/arranged it he meant for it to have an eighties feel, and it has a nice beat.

Well, not just a snippet, you could have whoever helps you mix the tracks together do a little transition inbetween tracks.. and it'd be all good. You should tape the show when it happens so we can all see!

thanks for every little advise you guys! the School will tape into DVD and they also will have one on their website... i will let you guys know by then

*comes out of her lurking...*

I did a fashion show to Ayu music! It was a long fashion show though (about 30 minutes) and we used instrumentals of Connected (an extended version) , alterna, STEP you and Introduction. I can't remember the others I used though because our video got condensed to 6 minutes to fit the Connected instrumental. If I was doing another one now I would consider using instrumentals for Mirrorcle World and (don't) Leave Me Alone :D

Good Luck!

Ok truehappiness asked me on MSN, so I searched up this thread.. I immediately thought of Ladies night from ayu-mi-x 6 too, but I saw that was already said.. Still; I think that type fo music is generally accepted in western countries. In general I think all Ayu-mi-x-6 tracks (especially on the haishingintei-album) would be good; but personally I've done much more runway shows on general top100 tracks. Even in Japan I didn't hear Ayu; it was mostly Justin timberlake, BEP, Madonna, etc...

the best thing is probably to mix Justin Timberlake / madonna with the Ladies night mix in Goldwave or Wavelab... In Wavelab you have 2 channels of music (left and right).. You can add two song in the program. One song in the left-channel and One in the right channel. Then just let one channel slowly loose volume as you bring the new track to the front.. And if you're done; make it 1 mono

I like blue bird from ayu-mi-x 6 :D beautiful fighters and ladies night from ayumix6 are good too. but for some reason (don't) leave me alone keep poping up in my head

probably dl all the remix songs and choose!

or even better, just play the entire ayu-mi-x 4 non stop mega mix. its nonstop!

Beautiful Fighters X MSTRKRFT

Woah! That's a great song for a fashion show. It sounds so powerful and the chorus 'beautiful fighters' suits it well!

that remix is pretty much too fast.. on the shows I walked the music was mostly in a slow rhytmn. But high rhytmns and now a too-obvious beat is better. for most R&Blike music; you dont have to walk on the rhytmn

Ladies Night came first in my head !!!
it's a nice song actually
especially the catchy chorus part ^^
