Seeing the thread in the Ayu section, I decided to open it up to all Asian artists, considering the diversity of this forum. :)

So what is YOUR MOST SENTIMENTAL SONG? Things to consider:

Planetarium - Otsuka Ai

Insert song to Hana Yori Dango, this must be one of the most special songs I've heard. I liked this song even before hearing it in the drama, but I loved it even more after. I know I've heard a few people calling it overrated, but 's honestly one of Ai's best songs. :)

i like the song flow and by myself which is sang by hitomi

i think they have the same dark theme, but there's a very good melody in it. the song flows to my heart and feeling cause i'm living alone now. everything needed to be done by myself na dlet if flow naturally. the lyrics is wise too, it represent my feeling.

My most sentimental song is a song by MALICE MIZER called Le Ciel ~Kuuhaku no Kanata E~ I heard it, I think the first time, way back in 2001 and ever since it's been a beautiful song to me. I had many instances where I've cried at the end of the PV when the little girl dies, 'Cause I've always seen Gackt, in his white costume, as an Angel that's come to take her to Heaven.

Ayaka-Kon'ya Mo Hoshi Ni Dakarete, my 5th most played song, and played 171 times.

I heard it when the album came out, can't remember when that was, but 2 nights before my uncle whom everyone in my family was very close to passed away, I dedicated this song to him. On July 19th, his lungs started to fill up with water and he basically drowned to death, I wasn't there until 15 minutes later and couldn't help to bawl my eyes out and after that every day I listen to her song at least once.

It seemed as if she was singing to a loved one and such and I don't even understand japanese but I do believe that is what she's singing of and how she lost them, and when she gets to the middle of the song the most powerful part seems as if she's wishes she had more time to be with them and regrets not having it, and that's how I respond to the song, I cry everytime I hear it, it's so beautiful.

I can just remember the days when I was little listening to this song.
Amei is always special me~ her voice really touches me, and she's probably the first singer I can remember since I was born~ meaning she's my first artist!

但愿人长久 (dan yuan ren chang jiu) by Faye Wong.
It's a ancient poem by a famous Chinese poet, Su Shá . Its nice and sentimental. I'm crazy over it. :) it also has a lot of meaning .

修二と彰 - 青春アミーゴ (Shuuji to Akira - Seishun Amigo)
it's the theme song to my favorite j-drama EVAR, Nobuta wo Produce. it's very catchy and it's sheer j-pop music, but it's a really touching song about friendship. i watched this high school themed drama when i was in high school and i could totally relate to all 3 main characters.

si (yes), we abandoned our hometown
and, laughing, chased after our dreams
we dreamed that the two of us
could chase an unchanging future

...also, not to mention this darn song pulled me into the Johnny's fandom. :laugh
