A BEST - re-records?

I just saw this on wikipedia...

"Songs from her debut album such as "A Song for XX", "Trust", and "Depend on You" were re-recorded, showing the changes in Hamasaki's vocal qualities"

Is this true? I have never heard any re-records of this song! If it's true, can someone please upload it?

Yep, they are from A BEST

SURREAL__RAINBOW 12th February 2009 01:03 PM

i really like her voice for those songs!! specially for the first 2! she sounded much better than the original ones :D

PinkShinigami 12th February 2009 01:05 PM

Aah, i want!

One more question for the album!

Is the CD in a box? How is the normal edition looking, and the first press editions?

GRACE 12th February 2009 08:39 PM

End roll was also rerecorded for A BEST

I think there are different versions for this..The front cover and songs are the same for all, but if I'm not wrong there are different covers inside. It really depends on luck, unless you are getting all the different versions~

here's your answer with regards to the A BEST slipcase cover & the 6 alternate covers once you take out the slipcase - http://eneabba.net/ayu/disco/albums/04.A_Best.htm

So the CD case IS in a box, or is the booklet behind the front cover?

Well, Eneabba has never been really informative..

vampireknightzero 13th February 2009 12:12 PM

Yep, the cd case is inside the box. The box cover is the same, while the cover of the booklets are different. Argh, did I make it confusing >.<

No, i think it's Eneabba that made it confusing, because of it shows the booklet as it's the cover ;) But i understand now, thank you :)

Only first press editions came with a slipcase, and as the album shipped 4.5 million copies, they sold out LONG (ie 2001) ago.

I don't think "End roll" was re-recorded, but merely edited, just like Boys & Girls and I think Fly high.

I really think that the vocals of "End roll" in A BEST was re-recorded if you compare it to the vocals of End roll from "A" single and LOVEppears.

And if I'm not wrong also Boys & Girls in A BEST is slightly different from LOVEppears. Not with the vocals but with the mix. A BEST version was mixed by Dave Way and LOVEppears by Dave Ford.

KarenPang 16th February 2009 06:20 AM

if I'm not mistaken , the melodies pertaining to End roll and Boys & Girls are different from the ones you heard on LOVEppears as compared to A BEST

vampireknightzero 17th February 2009 08:28 AM

End roll is re-recorded too..the vocals and the way she sang were a bit different from Loveppears

GRACE 17th February 2009 08:25 PM

Her vocals were definately different on End roll. Boys & Girl's arrangement was changed on A BEST as well, I'm 99% sure that the A BEST arrangement is the one they use in concerts.
