is there any of you who knows about ayu's royalty from avex......

is she get some money from her sales or else.....

or maybe she just get contract by avex ......or anything.....

Well, a few years ago I read that during the internal conflict back in 2004, she took over large parts of the shares from Tom Yoda (Tatsumi Yoda). She is one of the major shareholders of Avex Group Holdings, along with Max Matsuura, Ryuhei Chiba, Takashi Araki, Shin Ushijima and Hiroshi Inagaki.

^ Doesn't that make Ayu own a significant part of Avex? No wonder she's rich. XD

That would make sense. She practically helped to build avex back then and in the past avex = Ayumi Hamasaki.

She's only loyal to Max Masuura, I guess. I think when Max Masuura had an argument with Avex and stuff, he threatened to leave and Ayu said she'll leave with him. And in the end the guy who Max was arguing with had to leave. haha!
Ayu is angry with Avex! I think because Avex know she's too powerful and tries to do things to lower her sales and popularity like not paying much attention to her or advertising for her a lot.. Stuff like that.

That´s why Avex never ever treats her badly (I mean, she always has everything top notch quality and budget and such even when she isn´t such a huge seller as she used to be). She has them grabbed by their eyebrows LOL

Only they did treat her badly, forcing her to release A BEST, and several of the I am... singles, specifically NEVER EVER. They don't anymore though to my knowledge.

Interesting because of the whole thing about avex "owning" Ayu, hence her videos or CD covers "protesting" the company's decisions about her releases and such. I mean, I understand that she's so popular which must bring in large amounts of money to the company, but I don't think one owns the other. Well, I don't think it should be that way. :P

By this point Ayu better control some parts of avex. She's their most important ticket even now. The only other person I could see having as much power as her (as a performer) would be TK since he was pretty loyal to them for a long time (and has a sub-label under avex) and made tons of money and fame for them via his singers and groups, but after his past debacle....highly doubtful ever. :thud

Yes they are.

And "Amuro" is a family name, so it would depend on whether you're going first name or family name in that manner. "A" is a very popular name started in Japanese anyway.
