Sotsugyou Shashin (Graduation Picture) isn't hers, but it would be perfect xD

FRIEND and FRIEND II should work well for friendship.

waterballoon 6th April 2009 06:09 PM

MY ALL! And what Pink suggested was cool too.

I think LOVE ~Destiny~ has really good lyrics that would go well with a graduation theme.

chloeM 7th April 2009 06:16 AM

yeah... i thought of Shotsugyoushashin... but what about Curtain call?

Lanz16 7th April 2009 10:39 AM

^ Curtain call is quite too sad for a graduation. :(
Maybe... try glitter or Days(?)

I'd say Key ~eternal tie ver.~ although is not an ayu song, she sings it in A Ballads, and the lyrics are so beautiful *_* (about friendship).

I'm suprised no one has mentioned Replace. It's perfect for graduation when a time of your life has to end and something new has to begin. And the lyrics could very well be addressed to friends. Saying goodbye, promising to meet again, what they've been through together, the future, moving on. I think the song is very well suited for such a bittersweet occasion, it's not overtly about love, it sounds like a graduation song, and I'll even bet Ayu was thinking about graduation when she wrote it:

Once we thought and talked
About the distant future
We are now standing at that place

We dreamed fantasies
In our infancies
They are now unfolding surreally before our eyes

But I never forget your profile
When you said firmly
With tears in your eyes
That you would never be beaten

I keep on singing
So that my voice may reach you
I hope you will walk on without giving up
Till the time we can meet again
Please show me your usual smile then

One thing I've realized is
This road will continue as before

Whatever wind may blow us
Under the sky of whatever colour
You might as well smile

I leave this song here
Instead of saying good-bye
I hope you will walk on without giving up
Till the time we can meet again
Even if you may sometimes shed a secret tear

I keep on singing
So that my voice may reach you

I leave this song here
Instead of saying good-bye
I hope you will walk on without giving up
Till the time we can meet again

Sotsugyou shashin and teens

Both songs are technically not Ayu's. :P But they really are perfect.

yes, i think sotsugyo shashin or whatever the song is called is what youre talking about! key is from Duty.

jimex289 8th April 2009 08:04 AM

Sotsugyou Shashin is originally a song by Yumi Matsutoya. teens is by TRF. I wouldn't consider those Ayu songs.

I thought about "Replace", too. ^^ And "YOU", of course. It's also a great song about friendship. ^.^

Who is okay with some moderation of lyrics.

keikeiaznqueen 11th April 2009 05:46 AM

Well, also, MY ALL, YOU , and Key ~eternal tie ver.~ are good. As mentioned. winding road too

TeeMo 11th April 2009 06:13 AM

I think untitled ~for her~ was written for one of her friends, too.

* We walked hand in hand
We laughed and cried over trivial things

We were innocent and bright in those days

** If I could have just a wish come true now
I want to see you again

You decided that day
That you would walk all alone
On the endless road
Over that cloud to the sky

Leaving here so many things
I want to tell of and talk about

We walked without holding hands
We quarreled over trivial things and got stubborn

Even the stupid quarrels are my sweet memories now

** (repeat)

Supposing everyone goes on the endless road
Over that cloud to the sky
Sooner or later
Be sure to wait for me

And then, we will talk away
With our countless memories

Can you see me from your place ?
Are you watching over me ?

Though this may be a common expression
You stay alive
Always as you are
In my heart

However many times the seasons may pass
Our days are fadeless

* (repeat)
