APE...

Okay, I've asked about FLAC before... and now I'm seeing APE... :rolleyes oh gosh what's APE? If I download an album in APE, is it possible to get the songs out and play them on iTunes?

No, you can't.:) You only can convert them into AAC formats.(m4a)

Oh okay thanks! All these irritating formats are so... annoying! It's like they couldn't get satisfied with something universal like MP3 and made FLAC and APE... annoying!

Well I suppose iTunes AAC music, so it should be okay. :)
