Thread "views"
Hi, I was just wondering, are the number of views on a thread determined by the IP address/per user, or the number of "clicks"... like
say if I visit a thread, I add one to the view number, and that's it. If I visit the the thread tomorrow, it won't change the view number. Or is it that if I visit thrice a day, its view number will increase by 3? |
I think when you go to a thread is viewed 1
the views is like how many people have gone through a thread and if you visit multiple times it will have those times you viewed a thread |
according to another forum i found off of a google search...the number of views is the total number of views, even if it's multiple views by the same user.
The reason why you don't see the number change is I guess because it updates every half hour, hour, or whatever has been designated by the administrators. |
Id say number of clicks cos I looked at my thread twice and it came out as twice
So I think :shrug |
Interesting... it's just like blogs lol. On Blogger, the view counters you can put are like based on the number of times you visit the blog.
For wordpress however, they based your number of visits on IP addresses, but it's refreshed every day. |
