Walking Proud PV Translation

What is the little boy saying in the Walking Proud PV?

PV:
http://secsecae.multiply.com/video/item/392

secsecae has the translation but not of the little boy's parts.

Nukaru 17th June 2009 08:44 AM

In the beginning he's saying "Do you want blue candy? Do you want blue candy" and to the scarecrow "Do you want candy?"

AyUta 17th June 2009 06:29 PM

^ Ah okay thanks nukaru :). Is there more? I think x_x

Nukaru 18th June 2009 12:33 PM

Okay, so sentence for sentence xD

Ayumi Hamasaki, Walking Proud
Do you want being candy?
Do you want blue candy?
Do you want blue candy?

Do you want candy?

You want candy...?

AyUta 18th June 2009 05:53 PM

^ Thanks nukaru :shughug

U-GO-BOY 18th June 2009 10:05 PM

any idea why he says that? =o

Nukaru 19th June 2009 12:55 AM

I think it's because the little boy is the only real human in the PV.

Ayu's never moving around that much, only in the beginning and the end, so I think she's just a robot, like the one she uncovers at the end. Another reason why my thoughts are drifting in that direction: the 'underground, sparkling' Ayu, seems to controll her.
The old man seems to be a god or something (the way he's dressed, the beard, he gives a god-like impression).
The scarecrow, scarecrows are designed like humans, but they don't live.
And at least the robot guy, the way he moves he's either not very good at dancing or a robot xD Well, it's ovious he's a robot.

So I think, to make the little boy more outstanding, he actually says something (and to empathize his human-ness, he's saying it in a totally different language, so you really have no other choice but to notice him). The fact that he tries to give a scarecrow candy, is another thing, that makes him totally human, since that is a thing only a child would do, maybe he's trying to make friends with the scarecrow.

Sorry for my bad explanation, but my english isn't very well today and it's late >___<
*off to bed* =__=

According to the Japanese subtitles, he's offering pink candy here. ("Pinku no kyandii hoshii?")

Unless I'm missing something here, what about one of the videos on the internet that have the full audio? That solves the entire translation question right there, doesn't it? (I'm not trying ot be know-it-all-ish or my-way-is-right or anything, I'm just wondering why not use a vid with full audio.)

AyUta 21st June 2009 03:42 AM

^ Oh no, secsecae DOES have audio to the videos he made, it's just he didn't put subtitles on the kanji parts of the video, he just puts them to the lyrics of Ayu's song.

AyuRox 21st June 2009 03:45 AM

^ but the vid from secsecae doesn't have the spoken word part of the little boy (the part you were asking about). The one I posted does. So I figured that would solve the question about what he's saying, since you could hear it, instead of translating the Japanese subtitles.

Delirium-Zer0 21st June 2009 07:16 AM

Yeah, this thread kinda confused me at first, because what the boy says is clearly audible in the PV and doesn't need translation.

But most of the HQ PVs up for download here at AHS have had their audio replaced with the CD versions, which explains it. The little boy in the video is in fact talking at that part, but my guess is the PV that secsecae dubbed was DL'ed from here, and that audio isn't in his file. (Nor is the "thank you guys" from Bold & Delicious, for example.)

Or secsecae may have replaced the audio himself, something he does often for his DVDs, which is actually most likely the case, now that I think about it.

^oh how interesting...I never knew that lol

I was gonna say..."tem tem, he's speaking in english..."

It seems really odd to me that someone would take that out of the video. Couldn't they have put in both?

Delirium-Zer0 23rd June 2009 01:22 AM

It woulda been hard to mix the CD Audio into it since some of the sound of the talking & other effects are playing over the very start of the song.... woulda been tough to mix in the CD audio gradually so the transition wasn't noticeable.

Ah I see, I was thinking the track might be playing at the same time, but I didn't remember if it was exactly.

That is very, VERY interesting. I think i've only watched that PV like twice. Gotta watch it again and maybe i'll post my own interpretation too.

I agree with Delirium-Zer0. it would've been very difficult to mix the boy's voice with the song.

I kinda thank secsecae for replacing the audio tho. That boy's annoying @____@. For god's sake, NO, i don't want a freakin candy!

Oh I see, so the boy was audible, but the audio on his part was removed. Okay, explains why I couldn't hear it. Thanks guys:).
