Why does ayu never compose songs anymore?

Why does ayu never compose songs anymore?
Is it because of her (i'm sorry) hearing problems, or else?
Her last self-composed song was Will from (miss)understood, and it's very beautiful....
LOL

1) not enough time/inspiration ?

2) delegate the composing portion of her material to staff that she can trust since she mentioned before composing's not her forte & it's frankly 2 different issues when you compare it against writing & composing

noidea 9th July 2009 02:39 PM

she actually wrote a recent song for the Rule/Sparkle, it was replaced by Rule or Sparkle because ayu thought these two songs were better and since then, we never heard of that CREA song again, we only klnow THAT she wrote it

murasakinohana 9th July 2009 03:05 PM

yup. maybe writing lyrics is her strongest forte and she wants to stick to that.

waterballoon 9th July 2009 03:11 PM

I'm hoping that Sunset is that CREA song.

C+R+E+AYUMI 9th July 2009 03:12 PM

i just believe she hasn't much time to dedicate to composing.
Anyway, her self-composed songs are still my favourites.

vampireknightzero 9th July 2009 03:15 PM

probably lack of inspirations?

I like most of CREA songs...hope there will be new CREA compositions soon..

xLuna&1LOVE 9th July 2009 03:35 PM

Well I think it will take a lot of time to compose a song. Anyway her songs after Will are better, to my opinion ;)

kendelle 9th July 2009 04:02 PM

I think she is still working on composing. It's just that the results aren't what she wants for an album?

We know for sure that a CREA piece has been around since Feb/March this year when R/S came out, but other compositions beat it to be on NEXT LEVEL. I like to think that Ayu will continue to work on that piece until it satisfies her and Max to be on an upcoming single or album :yes

me too...
hahaha...
i think that CREA's songs is better...

Aditmi Krisnasaki ~II~ 9th July 2009 05:13 PM

well...
at least 1 CREA song on an album...

Andrenekoi 9th July 2009 05:20 PM

Cuz she doesn't want to :P

zyoeru 9th July 2009 05:29 PM

Because she's not a composer...she doesn't play an instrument, so it's not something she can do easily. But she trusts her staff to find her nice compositions that she likes and that fit her lyrics.

kirei_ayumi 9th July 2009 06:26 PM

its not that she will never do it, just that composing is difficult than you think...
it takes time to make something that fits lyrics and moods.
but I feel she will eventually continue to do so later

It's not just composing that Ayu's given up. According to Wikipedia (which cites her CNN interview), Ayu's delegated a lot of her artistry to her staff. I don't know why (maybe because she hasn't as much energy as when she was younger?), but I miss the days when she used to do everything but the kitchen sink. If we could at least get a CREA composition, I would be ecstatic.

ImpactBreaker 9th July 2009 10:39 PM

I kinda always had the feeling ayu needed "DAI" close do her in order for her to compose something. With DAI really not composing anything anymore alongside her, she's given up composing.

zyoeru 9th July 2009 11:08 PM

^ Yeah, almost all of her compositions are co-composed with DAI. ^^

knowing how to let people more capable than you doing things for you in order to have a better quality result is a gift

I'd say Ayu is just as (if not more) capable than some of the people to whom she's delegated her work. Don't get me wrong, I love some of her newer work, but her later record covers seem more superficial than when she had increased control over them as do her music videos. And songs from I am... were very skillfully done with those key shifts and surprising turns in the melodies, something that her newer works seem to lack.

Kingdom 9th July 2009 11:51 PM

personally i don't a lot of the songs she composed. but i don't know why she stopped. it could be because of lack of inspiration or her deaf ear. :shrug

i had no idea she gave up a lot of her delegations to her staff nowadays. that might explain why her music has been unlike her lately
