Using sets without credit?

I'm not sure if this is the right section to post so please move it if it's wrong:)

So I found someone who uses a set I made without credit.
What should I do?
I pm-ed the person and said he/she could use it but he/she should please give me credit.
What should I do if he/she doesn't reply or won't do it?

Report to a mod is all I guess you can do or publicly name and shame them

JackieRos 23rd July 2009 07:16 PM

if they hotlinked it then you could deleted it or like he said ^ tell a mod

labello 23rd July 2009 07:44 PM

The person apologized and said it was just a mistake and he/she grabbed it and forget to mention me~

Thanks for your help!

Sakura_Genki 23rd July 2009 07:47 PM

Glad to hear everything went well! You dealt with it the right way. I've had to deal with this problem a few times.

Plus, your work is gorgeous so I can see why people would want to use it~

labello 23rd July 2009 07:56 PM

^You too?

Ahh thanks sakura!!! Hearing something like that from a person who is awesome at graphics is like a really big compliment!!!

She said she would give me credit but she still didn't change her signature~

JackieRos 23rd July 2009 08:07 PM

ooooo that person is now put to shame
maybe she doesn't know how to give credit
~yeah right~

labello 23rd July 2009 08:19 PM

^That might be the case, but sooo many people do credit on AHS and even I knew how to do it although I never did before~
I mean you see it all around here.
I think I'll wait a bit and look what happens~ I'm not sure...

I don't fault her.

Yes...but she could have at least immediately credited her. Which she hasn't. I'd do the exact same as Labello, she worked hard on her sets. Least the person could do is put labello in the sig. :P

Kingdom 24th July 2009 01:57 AM

well, sometimes even after i update my sig, it doesn't truly update itself til i post on the forum. and sometimes my older posts still have my old sig...

just take it to a mod and let them deal with it.

i understand it's frustrating to have someone take your work, but she apologized and said she would fix it. "publicly shaming" (i lol'd) someone is childish.

love in music 24th July 2009 02:00 AM

thank goodness it is settled! what a horrifying situation.

milky_way 24th July 2009 02:02 AM

Revealing someone's username is so tacky.

zyoeru 24th July 2009 02:05 AM

Well... LOL she never really publically shamed her...the name given was [~~~~~]...and I've never seen that username it sounds just like a pseudonym to me.

Kingdom 24th July 2009 02:13 AM

[~~~~~]

[~~~~~]

ohh, you do not deserve that :love emoticon :no :gnash

zyoeru 24th July 2009 02:15 AM

I stand corrected LOL. :D

Well, to be honest I don't really think that it's a major thing. I mean it's not like Labello including her user is gonna direct a torch-squad to her house. XD
I think she deserves the emoticon. :D It's a nice set. :D

Yeah sometimes people don't really know... I mean unless you have a shop and the rule is that you've gotta be credited, otherwise when you post stuff on the show off your latest works or ayu works thread... people might just take them (cos they're so gorgeous!)... but yeah, at least everything's all right now. :)
