pommy48 2nd August 2009 01:22 AM

wong hoi

octolina 2nd August 2009 01:24 AM

^ thank you! does he have a wiki page? *searches*

what other works has he done?

pommy48 2nd August 2009 01:38 AM

I think glitter/fated is his first works for Ayu since he's a local director

I can't find any thing about him @_@ If only I had his chinese name...

octolina 2nd August 2009 02:19 AM

I mean has he done anything in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan?

AyUta 2nd August 2009 04:12 AM

I cannot find anything on him through GOOGLE nor no wikipage x_x.

pommy48 2nd August 2009 04:17 AM

Yeah same here.....though I think I found his Chinese name 黃海...

keikeiaznqueen 2nd August 2009 09:14 AM

Hmmm, I spent some time googling his Chinese name along with Ayu's just now, and apparently, Wong Hoi was the editor of the Initial D movie.

"MV導演黃海(《頭文字D》剪接師)"

He was also nominated for Best Editing in the 25th Hong Kong Film Awards:

最佳剪接

林安儿《七剑》
邱志伟《三岔口》
李栋全、邝志良《如果·爱》
谭家明《龙城岁月》
黄海《头文字D》

I think he actually won this award.

Wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Initial_D_(film)

His name is listed for editing. No wikipage for him though. Not even in Chinese since it just links to the yellow sea.

chloeM 2nd August 2009 11:08 AM

thanks for the info~

LacusClyne 3rd August 2009 01:40 PM

He's the director for chinese movies, ayu's the first pv he had ever done, so that's why his pvs looks like a movie editing, but i love that!

AyUta 3rd August 2009 11:30 PM

^ Oh wow, really now? That explains a lot :yes. I really like the way it was filmed as well, very nice!

Great, thanks for the info! I don't like Initial D but I enjoyed the movie, I wish Ayu would team up with him again sometime... :eyebrow
