IMO there arent many good musicians in germany, especially because of the tiny industry and the tons of casting "artists", only german music I like is wir sind helden xDDD

Picaflor 7/4 17th September 2009 09:00 PM

^only german music i ever liked was nevada tan. and I don't even listen to them anymore.

as a side note. I hate tokyo hotel.

noidea 17th September 2009 09:05 PM

^ I hate Tokio Hotel as well, they are annoying me since 2005 here...

And nevada tan...I remember 2 good songs by them, but they pretty much disappeared after a really short time(I think they changed their name as well?)

xLuna&1LOVE 25th September 2009 08:38 AM

I was afraid you posted Tokio Hotel, but I am lucky. No Tokio Hotel here.

*Petit* 25th September 2009 09:12 AM

Actually yhe only german song I can think of are not also very good. =/

Scnappy das kleine krokodil

SKOOTA - the logical song

Heut ist mein tag but at lest she's cute.

I think germany is the country in euroep whose music I know the least despite it being the largest market.

waah NO they had a very big fight with their producers so they changed their label and named themselves Panik! They released their album today (I bought it of course *-*) and even Mike Shinoda mentioned them on his blog. I can upload their albums if you want^^

^arigato. I liked their old name. Nevada Tan. "Panik!" that is really unoriginal. Their producer was mean to them. I read that they were locked up in their recording studio for a few days and weren't allowed to shower or eat or anything till they came up with music. Then they quit and reformed "Panik". I got into them through "neustart" (I own the single too) today, its still my favorite song by them. ^^ makes me want to sing it when I graduate high school.

found it...

The band officially changed their name after they demanded a civil suit from their old producers and managers. The band claimed to have been cheated out of money, and had not received a penny from the CD Niemand Hört Dich. They also revealed that they had been used and that the producers and manager had plan to exploit them as some pop teenie band. In an interview with Stern TV they showed parts of videos that Timo had recorded and showed them to see how they had treated Panik. David also said that he had gone about 4 days without a shower, and that they were forced not to leave the studio and sleep on the floor. Also, without the band knowing it the producers and managers had gone ahead and put legal rights under the name "Nevada Tan" therefore if the band wanted to leave they could not use the same name. In the Stern TV interview it was revealed because of what had been done to the band and the fact that the producers and manager used them the contract was null and void.

U-GO-BOY 27th September 2009 08:20 PM

shortly after that they released a very sad song about their producer for free download but I don't know where to get it know >.<

noidea 27th September 2009 08:24 PM

^ how is the song called, i might search for it if im bored

U-GO-BOY 27th September 2009 08:33 PM

ah I found it! <3
It's called Wegweiser (Guidepost) and it's on the Was würdest du tun? single. I might upload it later.

Picaflor 7/4 27th September 2009 08:33 PM

^ is it that one song (weigweiser) or something like that? if so then I have it. It's a slow piano ballad?

ah you beat me too it. I love that song. When I first heard it I had it on repeat for a while.

U-GO-BOY 27th September 2009 08:47 PM

yeah me too. it's really emotional

Picaflor 7/4 29th September 2009 04:41 AM

... *cough*

so...anyone listen to OOMPH!?

I just got into them through my friend. I've been listening to "augen auf" for a whlie now. repeat repeat repeat. and the lead singer is hot. doesn't even look like he's almost 40 ^^;

I can't even find their discography anywhere. It made me realize that all the sites I go to only have american, and japanese music. weird.

I recommend all of them. And there are some more. But I agree Germany is really bad with mainstream music.

Oh, short info, the first two are german Hip Hop, the last three german Rock/Punk (but Die Ärzte do have a big Pop influence).
