Ayu dancing?

Do you like Ayu to see dancing on her live tours? Not the 80's move but something like long choreographic dance moves... (real me, inspire, rule)

If yes, what songs?

If no, why?

Imo, it's really great to see her dancing but it's always short hehehe.. we want more!!

love in music 2nd December 2009 05:02 AM

sure, it's okay but she's not really the best dancer. she doesn't need to dance to be entertaining in her tours, unlike a lot of people.

i really liked her dance in appears @ AT07 and GREEN @ PCDL though! and i have a soft spot for the weird Real me choreography.

ayu-suits 2nd December 2009 05:05 AM

i hope she would practice more XD

I like all artist who can dance, Thats why I dont really like artist who only sing without dancing, Ayaka exceptation

IMO rule is her best dance

Delirium-Zer0 2nd December 2009 05:15 AM

She's really not a good dancer, so.... no. I have a hard time watching some of her dances, to be honest. They make me twitch uncomfortably.

Ayu is the singer of her entourage, she needs to stick to singing. She is not a dancer, she doesn't have very good rhythm compared to the others, and to be honest they're all quite talented so they just make her look worse by comparison. She's very stiff and unnatural. Especially when you think about pop stars who can actually dance incredibly well like BoA.

I REALLY hate when she dances to rock songs & ballads. I hate when ANY of her dancers dance to rock songs & ballads, though. Ballads and rock songs are not for dancing. Dance songs are.

I like when ayu moves like ayu.

pommy48 2nd December 2009 05:21 AM

No dancing please T_T

It's nice that she tries....but it just doesn't really feel right
Like..

I know a lot of artists who were not good dancers but look now.

One good example is Sandara Park of 2ne1. It's just a matter of good training :)

mcluva420 2nd December 2009 06:54 AM

well, i gotta give credit for Ayu for trying & training so hard, but sometimes, its totally unnecessary (ballads uhggg). GREEN was nice, and Rule looked kinda cool hehe. but Ayu is definitely NOT known for her dancing (i kinda dont want her to either >_<)

PinkShinigami 2nd December 2009 07:23 AM

I think it's nice with a little choreography, like GREEN in PCDL, but I didn't like her dancing in rollin' at all. But sometimes, it can be nice when she dances in "silent" parts of a song, like real me.

Also, something like Trauma and MY ALL is great too, as it doesn't need to be so precisely..

But..overall, I don't think it fits her to dance too much

chloeM 2nd December 2009 07:32 AM

i agree with pompom in this post~

jiarongisme 2nd December 2009 08:44 AM

Real me dance was epic. But, the PCDL one was pretty bad. I'm okay with the AT03-04 one but the PV one was definitely the best. <3

Other than that... Ayu's dancing can be pretty embarassing at times. :P

these days (and since AT 07 I think XD) I have the feeling Ayu has put on a kind of ballet dancer mode... not that she's is perfect dancer... but I've been learning ballet a lot of years and I really notice thinks like how she puts her feet curve sometimes, like a bailarina, how she walks, the movements of her arms (look the last case with GREEN AT 09 for example) and then the MAXIMUM for me, the position fo her hand! maybe it's nothing, but in PCDL and in AT 09 I've noticed a lot how she puts her hand and moves it very beautiful, like this:

http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/8841/ayuhand.png

and when I learned ballet my teacher said us this was really important and visualy it does a lot! It's a small thing, but doing it makes it seem more profesional ^^

to sume up... I think she is really elegant with her movements, sure she pays a lot of atention on that... and maybe she's not doing anything amazing but it does a lot that only standing and moving your hand without any purpose...

about her dancing skills... I think she has improved... some year sgo we couldn't see ayu dancing like now... I think it was with AT 2007 that I noticed she started dancing more in her concerts, maybe its only a short choreography, but I prfer that that only doing spontanious movements...

appears, talking 2 myself, real me, marionette... a lot of songs in PCDL had something... some hands movements... but I like it,... for example, in Identity, in AT 09, just before on of the chorus, shuya and ayu are shown in the scrren separetly, and there's some fast beats with only flashes of light, and she dance something there... maybe it's nothing but I liked it wasn't only kicking the air with legs and arms... XDD

so that's what I think... she's not a dancer, I don't expect her to dance, it's not her job, and a lot of singers, and even more here in the west, seems that they need to dance because is what people want to see... (so let's go to a musical them ¬¬) But ayu doesn't has to imo... but she does, and she does what she can, I won't spect her dancing a whole song, but it's nice seeing her doing something ^^

ayu-suits 2nd December 2009 10:39 AM

i like marionette dance and other ballet dance but every concert has it already. I just want something else..

what if Ayu dances 1 whole song in 1 of her concerts? youll be surprised right?

Andrenekoi 2nd December 2009 06:04 PM

Imo it's nice when she gets some choreography cuz it makes ayu and the dancers to be part of the same performance, and not only a girl singing while random people dance behind her...

If she is not going to join the choreography, even if it's just a little (like a-nation'09 blue bird), imo there's no point in having dancers in the first place

noidea 2nd December 2009 06:12 PM

I like her dancing, sure, she's not uber-amazing or something, but you don't have to be. It usually doesn't look to bad and she often looks like she's having fun.

Crystal_Ageha 2nd December 2009 06:25 PM

She's okay at dancing, but she's not great, ah hah. But it also is fun to watch her, since she doesn't do it much. So for that reason, I don't really mind either way. As with any singer, I'd prefer that she just sing (because, you know, they're SINGERS, not dancers--most people can't even get away with it and use the excuse "entertainer" -.-'), with a little dancing every now and then, if she wants. Which is what she does, so I'm cool with all of it. :yes

Not~Yet 2nd December 2009 06:53 PM

I do like her dancing, because it often brings more liveliness and energy to the performances. I don't care if it's not perfect, I don't think she dances for the sake of dancing just to show off but like I said, bring more to the performance. Most of the time I don't really even pay attention because there really are a ton of other reasons why I watch her concerts and what I pay attention to. :laugh
