why did you close my thread :(

if it wasnt because of the original post and because of the responses, why didnt the staff just remove tjhe inappropriate responses? deleting my entire thread is such a lazy thing to do. :( does that mean if i go to an ayumi news thread and make inappropriate responses the thread will be deleted too? of course it wont. then why pick on me? this is really unfair.

pommy48 1st April 2010 02:44 AM

Even if the inappropriate responses were deleted, other people would post more inappropriate responses anyways~

rainydayumi 1st April 2010 02:52 AM

a warning posted on the thread is much better, ive seen staff do it that way too :(

sugarbasil 1st April 2010 03:09 AM

To be clear, no one's picking on you. As you can see by looking in the trash can, there are plenty of threads in there that you did not create. The staff does not have a personal vendetta against you.

As Pommy pointed out, inappropriate comments would have continued to be made even if the current ones were deleted. The same thing would happen even if we posted a warning. Absolutely nothing we could do would stop it from happening.

Also, not all of the members may remember this, but we have had many threads similar to that in the past and all of them have ended up deleted because they got out of hand. History here has shown that those types of threads usually end up as trouble.

rainydayumi 1st April 2010 03:16 AM

if "history" has shown that those threads are not welcomed then you might as well add it into your guidelines or something

EDIT: ok thats fine, thak u for explaining

ownsarai 1st April 2010 04:32 AM

You should know that some people here cannot do anything BUT make inappropriate comments, which is why the thread was closed. I'm pretty sure there is already something having to do with anything "sexual" on the forum in the rules and guidelines. :shrug

zoomzoom 1st April 2010 05:41 AM

It certainly is in the rules:

Quote:

2. Do not post anything that is related to global politics, racism, sexuality, religion, or any other sensitive or controversial issue.
Probably every 4-5 posts in the thread were inappropriate and worthy of infractions, but since the topic was already in that aisle, it would be too much to give that many infractions.

Trashing threads happens all the time, when we know it's not gonna stay on track. Plenty of news threads have gotten trashed because of repeated off topic talk, same goes for artist threads.

Regardless of who would've started that thread, it would've ended up in the trash.

I personally don't think I'm one of them. :o

If you haven't noticed, any thread or post having anything to do with anything sexual is in the trash can.

ストロボ・EdGE 1st April 2010 06:32 AM

I wonder why it took four pages to get deleted. It's already in the rules and every community has them and we must respect them even if they can get annoying it does keep order I guess.

Don't worry, I've had threads deleted that made me sad too :P

jean-baptiste 1st April 2010 07:26 AM

^there isn't a mod roaming around AHS 24/7 waiting for an inappropriate thread to pop up you know. xD

i don't really see the big deal. it got deleted because it got out of hand, not because you made it. don't worry about it. ;]

Calico 1st April 2010 07:58 AM

Plus sometimes we discuss as a staff what to do with a thread before one of us goes ahead and takes action. Only really heinous stuff usually gets canned right away.

Kanzaki 1st April 2010 05:43 PM

Oh my word.
Will someone please explain to me, why an entire thread in theory will be trashed if one person posts the word buttsecks?

I just don't get it. Sorry.

zoomzoom 1st April 2010 06:46 PM

Please explain where that was stated.

Kanzaki 1st April 2010 07:06 PM

Så gerne.

the ayumi as a gay icon thread in the chatroom could use some moderation, its becoming a place to spam

I don't know if you're referring to what I wrote or the rule quote, but if the original post has sexual content, yes it will get trashed right away. That's the rules. No thread will get trashed if there's one inappropriate or sexual post.

Så simpelt er det.

waterballoon 1st April 2010 07:21 PM

lmfao. The nature of the thread was already against the rules? Even if the inappropriate posts got deleted, there's no stopping more and other members to post similar posts; it's a risk that's obvious with threads of such nature, so...

sounds like a desperate cry for attention.

That didn't really answer my actual question, but I'll take it. Thanks.

rainydayumi 2nd April 2010 09:09 AM

hi sugarbasil, why isnt the ayu as a gay icon thread trashed? the entire thing seems to be about the sexuality of her fanbase, which shouldnt be discussed on AHS according to the rules and guidelines.

xLitax 2nd April 2010 09:54 AM

^ If you think it should be trashed, then report it.
