ayu's voice

o_o i'm not sure if it's true..but I heard Ayumi smokes..and that changed her voice from when she sung the older songs. So they have been trying to change the song styles to match more of her current voice.

is this true?? Or overall..does she smoke at all??

=\ thats a good question, I doubt she would, thats not very childish, and she usually goes that way. She might have when she was young but Im not sure about now

She does not smoke. That rumor probably started from over a year ago when people saw this pic and thought she was holding a cigarette. I still think that it was perhaps a straw or something to stir the drink, but check it out for yourself:

Only just read about this, I honestly don't know what to believe. I personally am not a big fan of smokers, but hey! Everyone around me smokes. This little rumour/possible fact doesn't worry me, 'coz Ayu still finds ways to rock my musical world!

That's because opf her work. I mean-SINING! She sings live on concerts, performances-million places to sing live. What do you think will become with her throat??? That's just because of thouthands rehersals, performances, songs recordings...her throat gets tired. And just the voice get's more trained, and then-matured, with time. It's a normal process.

i doubt she does smoke, although i think there has been speculation about it before... i think the changes in her voice are due to the fact that she started out pretty vocally un-trained and as the years go by, her voice develops more and more. i mean, for example, madonna. if you listen to her older stuff compared to now, it almost sounds like a totally different person. of course the time span in voice changes is quite different between madonna and ayu, but i believe it's a similar situation.

My friend said Namie quit smoking...and dat ayu does smoke..... well i really have nothing against dat but im just afraid dat her voice will crack or somehtin....... cuz really i heard some songs and it just sounds like she has a cold.....in the countdown thing 2004-2005 im not sure if she smoked dere but if she didnt dan is she sick or somethin cuz in dat her voice just really ........it sounded like somthin was wrong with her....cuz unless shes laughin or not getting enough air den she usually has a Waaaayyyyyyyyyyy higher voice...^^

ahahha sorry for the confusion I made that post long ago when I was in a joking mood so yep, I was just kidding. I hardly have any evidences that ayu does smoke and I believe she just does it when she's hanging around someone who smokes and she just puff it once or twice and that's all. That's the more valid thing since we hardly ever see any public evidence of her smoking

I don't doubt that being a cigarette, but that always seemed to me to be a prop to go with the 50s/60s costume to me though...

Although some people insists that she's a heavy smoker and if you don't agree with them you're a naive airhead who thinks Ayu is perfect.
