Because I'm bored and not too many new topics are being made.

(actually, I've only bumped 1 of those old threads. Hmm.)

If it's a poll then when people vote in it, it automatically bumps the thread, so someone must have voted in it.

People have suggested that this should be changed but its never happened.

but the threads are from 2004 or 2005. how can they go all the way back to those old posts just to vote in a poll?

lately i've seen a lot too, but i'm guilty of bumping like 1 or 2. but that's only because i did a search for threads of interest and i had no idea that the polls were 2-3 years old...

Well, it depends on what the topic is, but I don't mind when some posts get bumped. I know I've done it once or twice. It happens mostly when people search the forums for a specific topic, find a thread that matches what they were searching for, and they post in it too since it's relevant. *shrugs* It doesn't really bother me since I haven't exactly been around since the creation of the board so I get to see other stuff that's here.
