Utada OWNS! i think im the only one who didnt feel her vocals were bad...maybe not gd enuf when carrying the high notes...but BEAUTIFUL SONG!

Mika one also not bad...finally something soothing from her....miss this her

Ai is just same...has she done anything special other than 5:09am and Cherish and her once beautiful ballads Natsu Sora and Planetarium

Although I'm a major Hikki fan, I really don't think her vocals wasn't bad as everyone making out to be at all either. IMO, (not tryin' to bash no one) you guys are comparing her (too much) to how she sound live (...And she doesn't sound that bad live either). I think most of you should stop depending on Hikki to "sound" soo good in every thing (i.e. live performances) and just let hikki do her own vocal style and go by the flow of the song. I probably don't make much since to you guys but try get what I'm saying......

I think BabyUtada was trying to say that we shouldn't necessarily pay soo much attention to her voice alone. She has a slightly different style of vocals all the time, and she uses them effectively in each song. We shouldn't listen to just her voice, but the song as a whole and how each part compliments the others (including her voice).

I think Hikki tends to use her voice more as just another instrument in a song, as opposed to having a song with vocals overtop.

Having said that, I like Flavour of life most. It's gorgeous and I can't wait to hear the regular version.

Mienai Hoshi is nice and all, but I can't remember what it sounded like at all....and I just listened to it. o_O

Chulip....well....I'm not really a fan of Ai (her ballads are usually quite nice), but her cutesty stuff wears thin very quickly.
Yeah...really not a fan of that one at all....

Well, I thought he said "we shouldn't depend on Hikki to sound amazing always" which is rather foolish and silly. But your explanation is better.

Yeah, Hikki's voice is weird. Like in the Be My Last "AAHHAHAHAHA". Instead of instruments she sang it. Special actually. It sounded good too.

Definitely Hikki. Even with hit or miss vocals (I think they work on some parts, and not so much on others), the song is still better than Mika and Ai's when their on top of their game (vocal wise I guess). But I'd rather hear the more up-beat version.

i just listened to chu-lip. really good, but you can't really compare ballads to a preppy song like chu-lip. flavorof life gets my vote, cuz to me, it's more addicting and i remember the tune a bit more XD;

I don't really ever listen to Ai or Mika, so I went and listened.

Mika's ballad is nice, her voice is quite nice, I've heard it before, but I like it in this song. The song isn't really my style, but it's still nice, but I have to kind of agree with, I think moomba, it's sort of boring. And I know alot of people think that about her music...unfortunately now, it's sort of true. Nothing memorable at all, nothing new. Her voice kind of gets lost in the song, which adds to the...makes-me-want-to-sleep-yness...

Hikki's ballad...I remember listening to it a while back and thinking, yeah boring, going to listen again, let's see...I like this melody better than Mika's, it seems more prominent, less boring, right now it seems better. I don't want to fall asleep while listening to it, it's like, her voice keeps you interested. Even with her airy upper range, which is kind of characteristic of hikki sometimes, i enjoy it more. again...Hikki also seems to have a better grasp of what a "melody line" is, which you can really tell with her use of chords and such. Definitely better than Mika's.

Ai...woah...that was wierd...and only 3:00...to be honest, i think that is enough...I mean, it was cute, and catchy, but obviously not the same level material as utada and mika, not comparable...the PV...does anyone want to explain the man in the tub...could they have at least made him hot? And the striped guy coming out of that female organ looking thing...Okay...just wierd, I would obviously not vote for this...but hey...who knew ai was so cute...okay, yeah...everyone...

Hikki, definitely.

which one? Hikki's...yeah...she doesn't really go for the "entertainment" portion of things though does she...seems like it's more about the music than anything else.

Very hard to choose, but I think FoL is a masterpiece, much more so than Mienai Hoshi, even though I'm really happy to see Mika snapping out of the NANA phase. @_@ FoL just blew me away.

I don't think I can choose between Mika and Hikki since they're in my top three favorite artists and adore both songs. I love Ai too but not as much as I love Mika and Hikki.

none of them. more interested in "Dragonfly", plus shimatani's cover art for her single beats all those three artists.
