Well but... well... with the bass to your ear... it's quite orgasmic. Especially when you're listening to songs like Rule/Sparkle... it feels like the bass is so secksy you wanna make love to it. I'm not kidding lol

I guess I'm kinda nonchalant about this
I always listen to music from my PSP on my way to school, home
It must be max volume whenever I listen, may be too loud for some people but it's fine for me

I listen to music all the time, but I never listen to it too loud.

I never really thought about losing my hearing... Eventually everyone's hearing withers, though. I know some people who are surrounded by music a lot more than I am, but I try to be careful and only listen to music at a comfortable level.

I figure I might as well be thankful that I have my hearing now.

I agree with noidea! It's about the volume not the hours you have been listening.

I've experienced ringing in the ear and it hurts just a few weeks ago because I was so exposed to loud music. I tried to refrain myself from using earphones but I can't help it. Music is my life. I was so worried that I might end up losing my hearing. But thank God it doesn't hurt anymore.

Now, I'm careful. I maximize the volume in a limited time then minimized it.

You should watch it and be disciplined! After all, if we just take it for granted, we might end up like our dear Ayu...right?

i usually will use headphone for less than 2 hours with 20% volume only for a day.
Because my ear is getting weaker when i was 20.so now,i'll only use speaker and seldom use earphone because ayu's song is on my mind 24/7...so i don't need to listen to my mp3 player anymore :p

I've been such a stupid person. I got the stupid tinnitus or whatever it's called, that same condition Ayu has. I didn't get it on purpose. I just wanted to listen to my music has loud as possible and the result was tinnitus. And lately it has been even worse and I hate the stupid thing. It's worse on my left ear for some reason.

I have learnt to listen to my music for a couple of hours, not the whole day long and volume numbers are 50 and nothing else. I use earphones for my cellphone (volume 40-50 I'm not sure), and on computer I either use loud speakers or headphones (Volume 45-50). It's sad that the only computer we have is in living room and that means I can't use loud speakers. Lately I haven't listened to music almost at all. But I like music. It's relaxing and inspiring. <3

But anyhoo, I hate tinnitus. I regret the fact that I listened to the music so loud it broke my ears. :< I'm not sure about my right ear but I know that left ear isn't working so well anymore as it used to.

But I can assure you that I'm not a hardcore Ayu fan who wants to become half deaf just like her. No offence but I just had to say this because I know some people might think I want to do that. I have ever been a hardcore Ayu fan. >:3 The one I really love is that beautiful girl on my ava and siggy~
And I'm worried about my hearing like hell. Even if I'm only 16, I'm so afraid of losing it. That's why I set some limits to myself, but I often break them. It feels like an addiction that you cannot break from and as a result it damages you.
i guess music is a good form of addiction, you know. it's sane.
i would like to assure you: now you know, you're a student, you have much time. when you'll start workin the time for music will be definetely less.

I don't listen to my music too loud.

I set my ipod's volume limit to about 50% of the whole thing, and I listen at 50% of my 50% usually... so that's 25% of the maximum volume on the ipod. Not too bad right?

Although, I do use earphones, so.

As far as I'm aware isn't tinnitus a symptom? Ayu has Ménière's Disease, the symptoms are gradual deafness, tinnitus and vertigo...be careful!

I've started using speakers btw.

It's not a big deal to me.

First, when I can listen to music off my laptop (basically when I'm home) I do that. Only if I'm taking the bus, metro or at school, I would listen to music with my headphones. Second, I don't listen to music too loud. The volume is always 50% or lower. Third, I have good headphones that block sound around me so I don't have to turn the volume up. It's a good tip!

FINALLY.. There's a thread like this!!

I've started listening to the radio and to music, in general, since the young age of 12 (bought my first SONY Walkman back then..) and ALMOST everyday, I swear to God, I'm constantly plugged in to my earphones, listening to my Walkman, Discman, MD player, (and now) MP3/4 player.. I have SERIOUSLY lost count of the earphones that I've used over these past 12 years.. (I'm 24 now btw..) No kidding, I still wonder if I'll lose my hearing soon at the rate I'm going..
