There is no way in the world that Ayu wanted to be treating like a celebrity and a superstar, because it would contradict what she said before in many interviews.
She said she misses being able to go out into the world and walk around like a real person, like going to Shibuya 109 or shopping market. I honestly don't think she's that naive to think that she would be treated like Angelina Jolie or Megan Fox around LA, because she's been there loads of times before. She KNEW how she would be treated. It wouldn't come as a surprise, so that comment is sooo negated by the sheer fact of common sense. Ayumi would have to be a damn idiot to think the way that guy was saying she thought. Some how, I can't imagine her going to LA or New York, and every time spending all of her time in the hotel room crying. LMAO what a joke. By the way Ayumi conducts herself in business and behind the scenes, I honestly find it hard to believe that she is who that idiot portrays her to be. In interviews or behind the scenes videos, she's always very professional, calm, and reserved. She plans things out, takes control, and seems like a true business woman. And we all know she's a horrible actress, so I don't think that's all an act. Judging by the routines at Hotel Love Songs, and the content of the scenes, it does look like a portrayal that Manny cheated on her. I wouldn't be surprised anyways, because they were apart for so long, and it seems like only one of them in the relationship was too busy to have a life... LOL. And since she says everything she portrays comes from a true story or a true happening... Yeah, I pretty much hate Manny. He's an idiot and insensitive. You don't go posting that stupid stuff on your Facebook right after your divorce, no matter how angry or upset or jealous you are. It's bad form, and it's a sign of a child. He's no gentleman, and he has no manners. The tour scenes for Ayu are artistic, and portrays what the song needs to portray. That MEME he posted on his facebook is stupid and childish, and there is NO WAY anyone could mistake that for anything but a sad attempt at pinning blame where blame shouldn't be placed. If he could, I bet he'd probably sell all the information about their lives together to the Japanese media if he could. Like, come on, he's a model who married a superstar who in turn got to have a book produced by one of the most famous photographers in the world. Yeah, he wasn't using her at all. I think there's just a tad more to being a celebrity than just being in the spotlight and not being able to walk around and go shopping.
And getting a book produced by Leslie Kee isn't that big a deal. Sorry. Now, if it was Annie Leibovitz, then we'd be getting somewhere. I mean, even Ayu's dancer has a book with Leslie lol No one even cares about Leslie outside of Japan. Maybe Lady Gaga fans. Anyway, I still don't think the meme was about her. I also think that people tend to overexaggerate ayu's fame and sphere of influence outside of Japan. It's pretty nonexistent. Ayu couldn't help Mannie get relevant here even if she wanted to.

If we're going to make unfounded claims that he used Ayu, why can't we say it wasn't the other way around? Pop star past her prime with declining popularity marries a foreign guy after knowing him only a few months and divorces him a year later with some really bad reasoning about the earthquake? Maybe she thought the media would have been all over the marriage and gain her some extra publicity?
I'd like to believe that neither of them used the other, but hey, celebrities do this all the time in North America...

Well.... if he wanted to use her to get famous in Japan, he could just... move to Japan.
 What he never did. And Ayu is a nobody out of East Asia, so, she could do nothing to help him in the USA. Besides getting a ton of money (what I admit it's a good reason) is not like Ayu could have much use to his career. Like, at all. But if he posted that meme about Ayu, and if this proves anything, IMO is that he liked her enough to get bitter and butthurt about the end of their marriage... |

She is the richest, most powerful female artist in the Asian sphere. She still sells out arenas, has the largest amount of CD sales of any female artist in Japan ever, and just by tweeting to the Softbank CEO she got a coveted spot on a Softbank CM, which is a pretty big deal. There is not one other female singer in Japan who holds as much power as she does in her own company and the music industry in Japan, the second largest in the world. Using someone doesn't mean using them for fame. Most of the time someone uses someone else for money. After they got together, he flew on one of the most expensive, private first class airplane in the entire world. He went here, went there, and it's not a mistake to assume she bought him a LOT of things. He got Super Manny out of it, and he got Music Video appearances out of it... all of them which made him money. And obviously his career in America wasn't working, so it could have been time for him to try to second biggest entertainment industry in the world. And I'm sorry? What did Ayu get out of the entire thing? A scandal which caused her to be on the front page of Yahoo Japan (The most popular website in Japan) being cast in a very bad light and a diminished image. Yeah, she really used him, didn't she. And P.S. Leslie isn't that famous and or big? Okay. Well, name me several photographers off the top of your head who are "famous" and "big?" who work with celebrities? That bit about Lady Gaga made me laugh. Lady Gaga is one of the most popular artists in the entire world. Having someone regularly allowed to photograph her for magazines and even make a Super Lady Gaga book constitutes someone who has a lot of power behind the scenes. And I invite you to go look at his website. He regularly features high profile fashion models and actresses. What you guys see as "famous" and "popular" doesn't translate to the pantheon of "famous" and "popular" people in the fashion and photography industry. I don't even like him, but I have to admit that he is highly involved in the fashion industry in Asia. And your image of Ayu being this power hungry spoiled princess makes me laugh so much... I don't even know what to say to that, only okay. That's your prerogative. I think she's shown herself to be exactly the opposite of that, and has stated regularly that while she has the image of a party girl, she's the exact opposite, she hates that. But okay. lmao.
