I agree that "Startin" is definitely single quality. They probably didn't want to waste the song on the album where it would get little attention. I think this single is a great way to start off 2006 for Ayu! I don't think it will sell much more than the other singles, but it's rejuvinating I think!

No need to be rude. They asked a legitimate question and deserve a legitimate answer.

The answer I think would be: Sales. Startin' as a new single means more sales generally than if they were to just throw the track on the album. Also, it has a tie in with a game, so people would want it as a single.. ( I don't know why they didn't do Startin'/rainy day though )

because they wanted to sell it as a single of course! they needed to release at least one of the onimusha songs in 2006 when they release the game as well. i was actually surprised that rainy day was on the album. maybe its cause its a sweetbox song.

Since she already released 4 singles (STEpyou/is This LOVE?, fairyland w/alterna, HEAVEN w/Will, Bold & Delicious/Pride) for MU and the album has been already released my thought was that she wanted to begin the year with MU and then keep the people busy with Startin'/Born To Be so she could start working on a new album (as time goes by we'll know) but the truth is that sales is why this was done for... Startin' marked the ending of the MU era and the beggining of the new stuff coming up...
