I just suppose I always thought, Ayu was really serious about things like marriage, I never even considered her to marry, because in Japan that always seems to mean ending your career. (For females, anyway) It just seems weird to me that after a relationship of 7 years, she's now marrying after such a short time. Although, being around the same age as Ayu I also kind of understand where she's coming from (the biological clock, you know - tic, toc)
I still feel more shocked and disappointed than happy, though. I wish I could be happy for her - but right now, it's not possible for me.....

Yes, she didn't even announce the fact that they were lovers! Now all of a sudden it's marriage? Well, I wonder how long before she'll pop out her first kid. Oh goodness, I'm sure this has to mean a slow-down in her fast-pace way of life. She will surely want more time with Mannie, more personal time, and when she's pregnant/has a child, I feel like she will want to spend a lot of time with her baby.
