He claimed that it was made specially for ayu but it was sold in limited copies? And ayu didnt get the book 1st instead, a photo of mannie in twitter? And mannie selling his copy from leslie from eBay? And ayu revenge by using his photo in VR =P. For me, I just don't think it's correct. But nobody really knows...

If we're going to make unfounded claims that he used Ayu, why can't we say it wasn't the other way around? Pop star past her prime with declining popularity marries a foreign guy after knowing him only a few months and divorces him a year later with some really bad reasoning about the earthquake? Maybe she thought the media would have been all over the marriage and gain her some extra publicity?

I'd like to believe that neither of them used the other, but hey, celebrities do this all the time in North America...

Agreed. If we can say that Mannie used Ayu to try and get fame, then Ayu may have used him to sell Love songs. She releases a love themed album and then gets married to a non-Japanese guy. That would surely get people talking. Then she releases an album after announcing a divorce.

Also, I don't see Ayu really wanting to not be Ayu. She may say she would like to walk around on the streets of Shibuya, but I feel like everyone who is famous has said that at one point. And honestly, I just find it annoying. Like, as a supporter, of any singer, I don't wanna hear that all the money and attention I'm giving is just a burden to the celebrity.

I don't know, I get the impression Ayu wants her cake and wants to eat it too. Wanting to go to shops normally does not equate giving up your right to attend the exclusive parties and mix in the celebrity crowds. She has the money too, but who knows, maybe she didn't like it when nobody knew her face after all.

She's been to America many times, but working there in an environment where everybody knows her name is different to attending celebrity parties and being that nobody in the corner.

Well.... if he wanted to use her to get famous in Japan, he could just... move to Japan. What he never did.

And Ayu is a nobody out of East Asia, so, she could do nothing to help him in the USA.

Besides getting a ton of money (what I admit it's a good reason) is not like Ayu could have much use to his career. Like, at all.

But if he posted that meme about Ayu, and if this proves anything, IMO is that he liked her enough to get bitter and butthurt about the end of their marriage...

You probably missed the "imo" = IN MY OPINION. Damn the "imo" isn't even that hard to miss, you even marked it bold.......... If I think of Mannie as an attention *****, then it's my opinion, I won't call him like that for a fact, ever unless I can justify it. --------- I can however call him like that for a fact now, because he was begging for attention.
