You said japanese fans will feel like Ayu is using them for money if she flies to LA to live her happy life with her new fiance, and for me it'd be really stupid to think something like that, because if she really wanted their money so badly she'd stay there and wouldn't present her new engagement to Japan, because it'd bad publicity. Instead, she's just living her life with confidence, so it's pretty obvious for me she's not desperate for japanese fans money.
I mean, japanese fans may feel abandoned, but not that Ayu is using them for money. That was my point.

I just saw a comment of yours and share my point of view. Objectively, you said "I think Japanese fans soon will start feeling like she only uses them for money, etc." and I shared my point of view on it. So no, I can't agree and not calling it stupid.

I think that if Ayu completely separates herself from Japan, she -will- lose her audience.
Maybe not immediately, but eventually.

Many Japanese people don't like flashy lifestyles for their pop stars. That's just how it is... Perhaps it's because the "normal" people live such mundane, systematic, unselfish lives that when they see pop stars living so freely, it makes them jealous and hateful. I mean people can't even dye their hair here for most company jobs. :-p

Plus, people don't even know she's still releasing new music half the time because "they haven't seen her on TV."

But tbh, the only way I see a lasting relationship working out is if she part-times it in the US, considering he's in school.

ive been thinking that too, when im watching Ayu Ready i really miss those moments, its feels like shes so close with the japanese,you know having the show,they play games, trying various food with different guesses,its so much when she connected herself more with the japanese world

now that she turns a bit "western" for whatever reasons,maybe coz she didnt find her freedom being in Japan, i so miss her to see her being active in Japan again,

even for the last FNS show, i founf it so weird that Ayu hadnt be among the other artist at the guess table,she only sit there at the end of the show,still she looked awkward among them,"being left out" feel, maybe its just me, i dont know

It's kind of strange having her in the US, and I don't mean this offensively. But when I started listening to Ayu, I always imagined she'd pretty much just stay in Japan. And then all of a sudden, she came to LA----not once but MANY times---and to know that she's like driving around the same city that I'm in, is cool but it's also just like "Wow, that's surreal."

I imagine that the Japanese fans aren't too particularly thrilled about her being here all the time (can't speak for them but I can imagine that being an feeling). It seems like she's filming over here, recording over here, falling in love here. She bought a house. It just seems like she doesn't want to be in Japan, or maybe Japan feels stifling for her---don't know.

I do think the single will be harmed because of the news, especially considering if the general Japanese public are not fond of him being an American, plus the fiasco last time. Does she just go back to Japan to tour and release her music? Because it just seems like she's here in the US and not there. Does she have plans on trying to become an Western artist?

Sooo many questions.

Wow. I had this same exact thought the other day in concerns to Japanese singer MiChi because she was in Hawaii doing a marathon but it's like, she's running with people who may have never heard of her but she's like this singer in Japan complete with albums and music videos and live performances

It's like, Ayu is just roaming the streets of LA and not many people know that she is the #1 Queen of Japanese pop music. It's crazy.

I feel the same. I always hope she comes back on TV and stays there like for instant. But I know the bitter truth that she will only appear like 1 time per season and mostly it will be big festivals.

in Japan you're considered to be inactive if you don't appear on TV frequent. look at Namie. she never appears on music programs and variety but she at least has her CM segment.

while ayu is totally off the tv.

oh well. at least we'll see her 2 times: mssl and kouhaku
