I usually don't trust tabloids, gossip, & paparazzi, but... Well, let's face it, good news like this just doesn't sell papers as well as bad news & drama. If ayu HAS no bad news or drama, even that they could make up based on little stupid things that really mean nothing, then they'll report on something like this, at least to get her name in the paper so they can boost sales THAT way. Usually if they make stuff up, it's bad, not good.

It sounds like your information was also tabloid gossip. There's no record of Ayumi saying she was single or broken up from Tomoya. There's also no truth to Ayumi and Gackt dating. They hosted a show together, that doesn't mean they are romantically linked. They are friends, though.

Definitely friends, you can tell on TV. I remember a clip from "waratte ii tomo" a few years back where ayu & the host were teasing Gackt about his quiet talking voice. Was funny.

But yeah, Ayu herself never said that she & tomoya broke up (in fact, I can't remember much at all of Ayu or Tomoya saying anything about their relationship to the press... correct me if I'm wrong though). The tabloids almost ALWAYS have a "They probably broke up cuz guess what, ayu was seen with a guy she works with and MAYBE THEY'RE DATING!" type story going. Cuz like i said, it's drama, and it sells papers. But from what little bit of real evidence I can see, ayu & tomoya are still going quite strong.

I think the last time that was discussed we kind of came to the conclusion that it was announced back in 2002, no? I would guess that it was made in some magazine or something, or that she mentioned it in an interview, maybe on the TeamAyu blog?

How long has the TeamAyu blog existed anyway? Maybe it's a way newer invention.

I don't remember that either. I just remember that around the time I became a fan in 2001, the Japanese papers were saying that she 'officially' confirmed that a ring she was wearing was from her boyfriend. Paper sources listed the boyfriend as Tomoya. Photos of them together have definitely confirmed that they went out together but I don't recall anything direct from her or her camp.

In early March this year, Ayumi Hamasaki in the Fuji Television Channel being the host of the "AYU READY" programme, she revealed that she was not a person to delay marriages, and also said when she is going to get married, it would most likely not to be delayed.

Usually a few creative fans from the earliest ages create a sort of fanclub with a name, and those original fans are endorsed by the recording label, and some members are appointed as staff and they go official blah blah... does anyone have information on how TeamAyu was formed?

I think in the case of avex / other Japanese fanclubs, they have a division that handles the creation of fanclubs for artists or something..
