I was VERY upset with the song, I find it terribly boring and un-original, I hope she does something better next time, Ayu doesn't win with me evey time. The PV ideas and quality was excellent however, but the way it was placed together was too boring, the story of the PV was boring, but not the ideas.

For some reason I envisioned the PV to be black and white.. D:

The people who hate it, seriously.. this is Takahide Ishii we're talking about. This is AMAZING for him.
And the sound effect is cocoons bursting open it seems..

The song has grown on me since the previews came out, so I'll probably be listening to the song for a while. I wonder what the interpretations of the PV will be..

Don't most Asian cultures [well, the classical Asian cultures..] depict light haired princesses or w/e with really dark red lipstick? Or maybe I've been watching too many Chinese soaps..

I just feel like she was going for an "all out Asian-look" with this PV with traditional Asian ideas. I'm sure there's some sort of "tale" involving snakes and mantises..

Yes, they do actually! Watch "Memoirs of a Geisha" and Geishas DO wear red on their lips!

I love it. The PV is most definitly one of the most visually stunning she has done, and definitly a HUGE step forward for our mr. director, who many of us, including me, did not think would have done the best job.

The song, I mean, it's sooo walking proud lol I love it though. I think it depicts some of the classic ayu sound that is just perfect for her best album.

Nah, not quite. Now interpretation of the JEWEL PV was over-interpretation, because there, she just looked pretty and held up a bunch of jewels.

Whereas in this PV, there are a lot of things to consider--such as her suddenly falling over, the symbolism of the animals, and why she was in the big whited-out space when her lover meets her there (possibly heaven)?

(Granted, this PV is no "RAINBOW"--which remains my favorite Ayu PV for the sheer depth it held with the two Ayus running away [past and present, in a sense], but I don't think it's as shallow as JEWEL is. The meanings are there--you just need to look past the incredibly pretty scenery)

I'm not sure why because this usually doesn't happen to me, but I got teary eyed towards the end. :'D It was a really, really gorgeous vid I think. I loved it. And the song is also very pretty.

Some people seem to be a little overly picky to me. Like not liking the PV because you don't like the lipstick - the lipstick people, come on. Also about Ayu looking old? How? She looks exactly the same as she always does. Is it simply because people associate kimonos w/ old and therefore Ayu looks old? Also I think the CG looks pretty good considering the short amount of time that they would have had to do it in.

There are so many things that this PV does right and the things wrong with it are pretty minor - it seems pointless to knit pick so much.

I agree about the song though. It is a pretty run of the mill ballad for Ayu.

the song's pretty, but that's about it. it's like a mash up between "JEWEL" & "momentum" to me.

but i LOOOOOVE the PV. i love the traditional feel to it. i think it's her best in a while. =)

Yep the song might be a run of the mill ayu, but I still like it a LOT these run of the mill songs got me into her and she's got bad run of the mills and good ones. This is one of the really god ones to me.

The first time I saw the PV, I was like "omg ok she just died.. because she took the chopstick things out of her hair.. wtf?" .. and I just looked at the surface.. but then I watched it again and started reading into the symbols.. and now I adore the PV too

I first of all have to say that this song is just beautiful. I haven't watched the PV yet but from what I can tell from the screenshots; it's nothing short of beautiful.

I haven't read everyone's comments but a lot of peeps on page 2 were talking about the cultures of the costumes. I think AYU used this video to try and unite multiple Asian cultures...kind of like an ode to the Asian Tour that's getting ready to start?? Well anyway, for some reason I think the PV is going to be one of her most symbolic EVER so I'll hold off on what I think it may be about until I see it myself.

Hmm...does anybody have the feeling that Inu-Yasha and a make-up for not having a PV for WILL (I'm still hurting over that...) are the major influences in this? Just wondering...They were the things I thought of when I saw the pictures...lol

Good Points:
-I have always wanted Ayu to dress up in something traditional for once of her PVs, and her costumes were stunning.
-There was a plot(?) and many, if any, symbolic objects.
-I liked the song.

Bad Points:
-I really do wish there was more eye-candy.
-The growing hair was quite disgusting as a matter of fact.
-I hated the red lipstick! Aaaargh! That killed me.

The first thing that came to my mind when I saw ayu in the pv is Anna Tsuchiya ...dont know why maybe coz of her new movie? but its all good

Am I the only one that loves her red lipstick and the blond hair? It seems either ppl loves this pv or hate it....well atleast this is way way way better than pvs like...lets say b&d, pride, startin, born to be, blue bird, beautiful fighters...yes all those we have been getting. This is a good start for ayu in 2007!

I liked the pv a lot, there could have been more to it, and the hair thing reminded me of the grudge... but overall it was better than I expected.

I love the PV and I love the song but... I really do take issue with the sound effects, they're extremely poor and the video would be better off without them. I mean, why did the flowers sound like goo being ripped apart when they opened?
