[RUMOR] Ayumi Hamasaki in Spain!?

Well, Im so excited about this news/rumors but I think this is so strange, so, what do you think?

In some sources there are news about Ayumi holding a concert in Zaragoza, this year, by the 14th of July. The reason is the Expo Zaragoza 2008, to promote it or something like this, I didn't understand it at all. They say that the concert will be in La Romadera stadium, near the place that is going to take place the first "Salón del Manga" in Zaragoza.

Sorry for my english, but what do you think about this? It will be amazing if this is true, all her spanish fans will be there for sure!!

Official sources would be nice, it sounds kinda reasonable but, it seems very unlikely in general that ayu would perform in Spain. But god i hope it's true

Mmmm... That would be nice for a change. I'm kinda sick of seeing Ayumi in US only. Hopefully, this would be true!

Yeah, I read that some time ago on JPM~...

Well, to tell you the truth, I hardly thing so =/
Sending an artist as important as Queen of J-Pop in Spain, where no single/album was released is too much "Wow!"
I do think they'll just send another artist less famous to represent Japan, like Anna Tsuchiya last year during the Japan Expo' in Paris ~ France =)

Well... For now it's fake, since your sources are Wikipedia & a Spanish blog v_v

IF, 1 day it's true, then I'll surely cross the Mediterranean Sea to arrive to Spain, not so far/expensive from Morocco =p

Me neither...
There hasn't even been an official release in whole europe (except for maybe some remix singles).

But it would be very nice, so close by, I would definitely go (Spain is not that far from Belgium).

Nothing comfirmed for the moment, but I think this info is too "big" I mean it's Ayumi Hamasaki who's coming to Europe...It's weird because why don't sahe came in US do a concert beforr or in France during the famous Japan Expo ?
I think we should wait for an official comfirmation !

Found this on a blog : "UN POSIBLE CONCIERTO DE AYUMI HAMASAKI EN ESPAÑA PARA EL AÑO 2008 EN ZARAGOZA CON MOTIVO DE LA EXPO 2008" ( A possible concert of Ayumi Hamasaki in Spain for 2008 in Zaragoza for the 2008 Expo), so aparently it's not so sure because in the article they said too that the info is coming from a association called "Arashi de Zaragoza" or something like this and that the source can't be revealed...so weird....

Luckily I speak Spanish, so I translated the first article:

"Let's hope panic doesn't spread, although it may seem like a hoax, it's true. Ayumi Hamasaki will give a concert this summer in the Aragonese capital, probably in June. Finalized details and an official press notice haven't been released, but it appears that we will have a J-Pop concert In Zaragoza, and probably coinciding with the concert will be celebrated the first Manga exhibition in Zaragoza, which we hope will soon be able to give more information.

The Ayumi Hamasaki concert comes as a precedent of the collaboration and participation of Japan in the Zaragoza Expo. Due to the fact that Arashi participated in the comic conferences last December and the fact that we've spent many months sending proposals, including various concerts, we've finally had success and here we have it: The most international Japanese star giving a concert to the masses for all of Spain, which she will take advantage of promoting her new album.

Keep in mind that this information is still not official, so be attentive that when I have new news, I will publicize it immediately as well as everything related to the Manga Expo in Zaragoza. If you have questions post them below, and I'll answer them the best I can."

The majority of the posters also expressed their doubts until an official release. I also doubt it! But who knows?

Lol I cannot see Ayu performing at a manga expo in Spain. It took her 4 years of releasing her products in Asia to actually go and perform there (MTV Asia Awards 2002) and 9 years to go have concerts there. And that's a place where she has a pretty huge fanbase...

If she didn't even go to Singapore where she has a big fanbase and lots of people buy her CDs, I doubt she'll go all the way over to Spain where she's never released anything (besides maybe 1 remix analog) and where she has virtually zero fanbase. Why would she waste her time with that?

....
Why on earth should she come to the US to perform before Europe?? She even released some singles in germany and the European market definetly is more open to artists of different languages and backgrounds than the US market....

I totally agree with you, but Japanese entertainers are thinking like that. Every years europeans and japanese entertainers reunite in MIDEM in Cannes (France) and every years japanese entertainers are saying they first want to introduce their artist in Asian Markert first, US market in second and European market at the end.
But I totally agree with you on the fact that Eutopean market is definetly open to artists of different languages and from other country !

Yeah, I do agree with you also =)

[Wasn't KOKIA who represented Japan in the MIDEM of 2006? =p
By the way, she's a good exemple for the success of Japanese artists in France =3]

European market seems more open to Japanese culture than US.
Japanese language may find a better place in Europe, but will have more problems in front of English =/
But well, since USA is the 1st Music market in the world, I think Japanese producers will still try to push their artists in the USA than in Europe...
